Every month we donate £1 for every MOT to a charity chosen by one of our team members. This month we donated £109 to Blue Cross UK through the Work for Good scheme.
The Blue Cross have helped sick, injured and homeless pets since 1897. They introduced the horse-drawn ambulance to London, opened the first animal hospital and pioneered the use of animal behaviourists. Their purpose is to help pets and people thrive together. They aim to protect vulnerable pets, speak out for them and help those who care for them. They show the world how to treat pets with dignity and compassion. They provide veterinary care, offer expert behavioural help and find loving homes for pets in need. They also offer pet advice to owners, keep pets and people together with our pet food banks and aim to look after surviving pets when their owners pass away.
In 2024, 27,184 pets were helped by their veterinary services, 7,809 pets were helped by their rehoming teams, 1,738,624 pets were fed for a day through their pet food banks, 21,099 pet loss support contacts answered, 3,300,000 visits to their pet advise pages and 134,512 people reached through education.
They have 56 charity shops, 12 rehoming centres and 4 animal hospitals in the UK.
