2nd and 3rd stages done on the Bentley door tops. After wood glue and clamping i super glued and rubbed down the rough edges, good thick coat of lacquer then rub down and apply a painted wood effect to blend in as best as possible with the original walnut look.

Ready for more lacquer.

On this weeks episode of "What strange things can we repair today" we have 3 Bentley wood/vaneer door tops, badly cracked and lifted lacquer with parts of the vaneer missing and end pieces snapped off.

Stage one, copious amounts of wood glue and clamping over night to stabilise the loose bits and snapped end parts. Next stage clean up sand down and make ready for stage 2.

Going to be a challenge.
