The rear wheel drive sports car has predominantly been little Japanese petrol engines like the Mazda MX5.

However, with the advancement of diesel engines mean they can be just as performance focused as their petrol counterpart.

The biggest advantage a diesel has over a petrol is torque. That throw your head back into the headrest feeling you get when you accelerate.

This customer come to me saying that their Mercedes SLK was a bit flat in the mid range.

Despite being an AMG model, the way cars come from factory aren't always tuned to be at their optimum. That's where we come in.

We levelled out the torque curve on the power delivery making it feel a lot more progressive and responsive.

Adding approximately 30% more power on top, this customer was over the moon with the results!

A much bigger Volkswagen this time.

The customer bought this beast with the intention to convert it to a camper. However, even without the extra weight that was going to be added, it already lacked in power.

We added a few extra horses to mainly assist with hills and motorway journeys.

From 107bhp to 180bhp and 300nm to 400nm of torque. You can definitely tell the difference under load or up a hill.

Remember the original caddy from some of the very first posts? If not go look.

What your looking at is a 2.0TSI swap with a Ram-Air intake purchased from our website.

The customer fitted it over a cheaper intake and has notice more turbo noise and a better throttle response.

The VW caddy is a very stylish looking small van, however, the performance doesnt always quite match.

This 1.6TDI only puts out 75bhp from factory.

Not only that, but it kept going into limp mode because the owner is a window cleaner and uses the van for alot of stop start style driving.

As you may know, diesel engines hate this due to their extra fitted components that are supposed to lower their emissions. Look through my other posts to find out why!

So, what did we do to this caddy?

Looking through the images you will notice a huge water tank. This when full holds half a ton in water!

with the 75bhp, it really struggled. We worked our magic and added a whopping 70bhp, almost doubling the power!

Going into limp mode, a quick diagnostic check, we found that the EGR valve was stuck, we added a few solutions to this and the van now runs and drives twice as good as before.

We have been a bit quiet recently, and this remap was actually done back in April, so expect a lot more updates from us.

We all know the Ford Fiesta, being the number one car in the UK with 1.54 million actively on the road.

This is the first ever ST version that had a 2.0 in a small hatchback making it a proper little hot hatch.

The customer has an exhaust and intake making the air flow much better through the engine. However, the 'bogging' noise that it creates under load is because with the extra fuel and standard map mean that the engine is now deficient in fuel.

Being a non turbo car with no forced induction, it still relies on natural air intake. However the air - fuel mix has now been corrected.

With a few pops and bangs, this ST150 is now an ST165 with a little more torque too.

You only have to go outside to realise that the Volkswagen Golf is an extremely popular car. And for good reason! Well made, Well equipped and timeless styling.

Due to their popularity, we get requests to work on them frequently.

So, lets talk about what we were asked to do on this car and what we did.

Initially, the only request was to add some extra power. When we first visit a vehicle we ask whether the customer knows of any previous adaptations, which this customer was told had none.

Upon the first inspection, straight away we found a blanking plate between the EGR and engine (see pictures).

The back pressure from the engine side of DPF was showing greater than the exhaust side, showing signs of blockage.

So, being asked for an increase in power remap, turned into solutions for the DPF and EGR. Both of which we were happy to do, and the customer was over the moon with the results. Just look at our 5* review from them to see!
