More progress on MK1 Trafic J390, cleaned up repair to nsf jacking point and welded on brackets for Jack and painted area.
Started on area of rear wing to side door, still cleaning up and uncovered more older repairs that require attention, this was under at least 1/4 inch thick of body filler.
This will all be cut out and replaced.

This weekend’s productivity and progress on Trafic mk1 J390.
Passenger’s outer sill area, cut out cleaned up, repair panels shaped and welded in, weld up a couple of holes and splits from previous repairs.
Just inner sill panel to be welded in.

This afternoon’s task, Fiat Ducato based motorhome, investigate wipers not working.
After initial inspection and suspecting drivers side wiper pivot seized, strip to remove heater air intake and coolant bottle to aid removal of wiper motor and linkage assembly.
Drivers side of scuttle panel corroded through.
Tested wiper motor, worked but slow and noisy, found drivers side wiper spindle seized and wiper linkage frame heavily corroded and close to breaking apart.
New linkage and motor recommend and on order.
Start preparing to carry out repair to scuttle panel using an off cut section.

Some more productivity today on J390 Renault Trafic mk1 facelift, replacement of drivers side rear bumper corner. After removal of fresh water tank to access front jacking point as rear of it corroded and holed through, found inner sill to be corroded and holed too.
Side loading door area inner sill cut out, repair plate shaped and welded in to place and cleaned up.

Today’s task on J390 Renault Trafic mk1 facelift.
Remove fresh water tank from underside to access front jacking point.
Found corrosion and holes in passenger side inner sill, so more to repair than anticipated.
Next stage to clean and prepare areas to be welded.

Yesterday’s task on my Transit, had a oil leak on rocker cover , which I confirmed by smoke testing the inlet system and smoke coming out of the front left corner, did think bu**er as replacement gasket used when cover was last removed. Didn’t want to take injectors out so cleaned up the area and applied sealant in the gap and allowed to dry. Once dry smoke tested again and no leaks.

Today’s task on a Fiat Ducato Motorhome E-reg
Replacing both rear wheel bearings.
Was asked to replace drivers side brake wheel cylinder too - but brake pipe to cylinder heavily corroded and did have brake pipe making equipment on board, so a job for another day

Mk1 Renault Trafic J390, clean up and carpet refitted and cleaned up and seat refitted.
