Emma our local cafe2u has come in to us at DPF Doctor at BTS Garage

After diagnostic assessment we found that glow plug issues were causing Dpf light on .

After repair of vehicle was slightly blocked so opted for DC lubricants Detox pro and extended test drive then vehicle was clean as a whistle.

We have done extensive on road testing with this product and can honestly say it’s one of the safest products to clean emissions without massive temperature spikes that can spiral out of control damaging the vehicle or Dpf .

Emma has decided to treat vehicle as ongoing with this product periodically as it does mostly stop star journeys and we will monitor as she continues.

Sadly not every customer we see is a happy story .
This one several other attempts previously by other people/companies resulted in the Dpf being heat damaged beyond repair.
This high cost of repair is now the customer problem long after the cheaper options are tried.

As the photographs show this particular Dpf had been extremely hot to the point it was very dangerous.
In fact the temperature sensor internal to exhaust has melted off completely .
And dpf casing had started to
Melt creating holes in it .

This is very often due to attempts to clean using temperature enducinng agents .

Out standard advice is if Dpf light comes on :

Check your under bonnet levels as per vehicle hand book especially oil level.

If oil appears to be over full , then do not attempt to driving without getting professional advice.

If all ok ensure vehicle has at least 1/4 of fuel and take for a constant drive with engine speed maintaining 2/2.500 rpm for around 20/30 minutes.

Most cases this will result in Dpf self cleaning and light going out .

If this doesn’t happen then get vehicle looked at with a professional competent Dpf specialist.

Food for thought this morning,
There are multiple retailers you can buy your adblue (DEF Fluid )

But you need to understand this fluid ( not this brand ) doesn’t store well .
There is a specific gravity it must meet and your vehicle depends upon this to operate correctly

Sun light , extreme heat and cold can affect how good the Def quality is ,
causing multiple problems we see regularly at DPF Doctors across uk ,Europe and even Australia .

Buy you DEF product from providers that store it correctly can save you a small fortune in the long run.

Been a while since I’ve posted due to work load

This one I thought was interesting enough to share , especially as it had done the rounds
And for the want of a better explanation…

It had the parts cannon fired upon it without any logical testing.

After many attempts to clear codes and clean dpf elsewhere.
The customer was directed to us at The Dpf Doctor @ BTS garage

We soon had our Dpf assessment carried out
Only to find Dpf was not in need of a clean &
a simple broken wire was found be the cause of customers drama .

Vehicle now fixed and the customer can enjoy there vehicle once again without having any problems .

Beautiful Mercedes with warning lights and issues.

Through the DPF Doctor process we quickly discovered the underlying issues with this vehicle where others had overlooked.

Professional assessment isn’t a cost … it pays for itself in the long run .

Luckily this Dpf was still in good enough shape to remain in service without replacing it .

It’s all too common we see vehicles that have been elsewhere for quick clean or regenerated and sadly cost customers more money in the end .

Has been extremely busy on emission faults recently, this one is from a vehicle with Adblue issues.
And Emmisions warning on dash to
Non start with mileage count down

Customer was at the end of there tether as they had gone to multiple garages in the hope for a fix .

After initial DPF Doctor assessment we very quickly pin pointed electrical fault within adblue system .

Fixed and back on the road the same day , with ongoing maintenance tips to ensure vehicle stays on the road fault free
