11 years ago, Dave logged his very first MOT with us here at Whitecroft. Today, he logged his last as he hangs up his tools for a very well-earned retirement. Loyal, dedicated, and hardworking doesn’t even begin to cover it — Dave’s been all that and more. We’ll miss him loads… though something tells us he won’t miss work quite as much. Enjoy every minute of retirement, Dave — you’ve more than earned it

It’s Ironman weekend again for Whitecroft’s Ryan Snee as he takes on the full distance Ironman Wales. Good luck Ryan from all at Whitecroft if anyone wants to follow his progress his Bib number is 106.

It was our pleasure to help out even if only in a small way.

This week is Volunteers’ Week.

Everyone on Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, like all Mountain Rescue Teams in England & Wales, is a volunteer. This means that we can only keep going through public donations and good-will gestures.

Running and maintaining our vehicles is one of our major costs. A fantastic gesture of good-will came from Whitecroft Garage in Bolton earlier this year. In January, they very kindly MOT’d one of our Land Rovers - Bolton Mobile 2 (BM2) - for free. During the MOT, it was found that the vehicle required some essential remedial work. Following that work, Whitecroft Garage again MOT’d BM2 totally free of charge.
