We are looking for a dependable, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Automotive Technician. This is a full-time position. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles in a timely manner while ensuring that they are returned to the customer in a clean and well-presented condition. You will have regular contact with our customers and contractors, which will require you to use your people skills on a frequent basis.

Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and Level 3 NVQ qualification.

Please note: The job will mainly involve engine rebuilds, clutches, turbos, cam belts, wet belts, and timing chains.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair brake, transmission, and steering systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems with the Electronic Control Unit. • Diagnose fuel system and exhaust faults.
Carry out engine rebuilds, clutch replacements, turbocharger work, cam belts, wet belts, and timing chain replacements.
Perform routine servicing and maintenance work to a high standard.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

We are a busy and well-established MOT & servicing garage in Bolton, looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician with advanced engine rebuild and diagnostic capabilities.

This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in their work, can diagnose faults accurately, and can carry out complex mechanical repairs to a very high standard on cars and light commercial vans.

🧠 Key Responsibilities
• Full engine rebuilds (petrol & diesel)
• Advanced engine diagnostics (fault finding at ECU/component level)
• Timing belt & timing chain replacements
• Head gasket repairs
• Turbo, EGR & DPF fault diagnosis
• Mechanical repairs on cars and vans
• Working independently with minimal supervision
• Maintaining high workmanship and cleanliness standards

As we share our regular fish and chips today, we pause to remember a great man dave who brought this tradition to life.
