Equipped with a lifting third axle and built to tackle demanding recovery work, this truck had quite a history of its own, having previously operated with Fylde Motor Company in Kirkham before joining the Egertons fleet

🇫🇷 JDS goes to France with Renault Trucks UK 🇫🇷

Recently, members of the JDS Truck & Van team had the opportunity to join Renault Trucks UK on a visit to Blainville-sur-Mer, France, staying at the fantastic MGallery Hotel in Cabourg while enjoying a few days of history, heritage and a closer look at the Renault Trucks

Our first day included a visit to the Mémorial de Caen, an incredibly moving museum that provides a powerful insight into World War II and the events surrounding the Normandy landings

On day two, we headed to the heart of Renault Trucks, touring the Renault Trucks manufacturing facility and gaining a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the people, technology and processes involved in building the vehicles our customers rely on every day

The final day saw us visit the iconic Pegasus Bridge, a site of immense historical significance and one of the key locations associated with the D-Day landings
A huge thank you to everyone at Renault Trucks UK for organising and hosting the visit. It was a fantastic opportunity for those who attended to learn more about the history of the region, gain a greater understanding of the Renault Trucks brand and manufacturing process, and spend time with colleagues from across the Renault Trucks network
