Most repairers are comfortable… right up until the method disappears.

No OEM guidance
No EZI Method
No Thatcham method
Nothing to fall back on

So what happens next?

Someone decides how that vehicle is repaired.

Not the manufacturer
Not a documented process
Not a structured justification

Just… experience… but there’s a problem

Experience might get the job done
But it doesn’t prove the job was right , and under BS10125:2022, that’s not good enough

If you can’t show:
• Why you chose that repair
• What risks you considered
• How you controlled those risks

Then you’re not managing the repair

You’re guessing… with confidence

And in today’s vehicles, with interconnected structures and systems, that’s a dangerous place to be

Here is my challenge to you

When there is no method available…. Who is actually in control of the repair

And more importantly…. Could you prove it?
