Building safety reform progress.

Following the Grenfell Phase 2 Inquiry, the Government is progressing a wider programme of change around construction products, regulation, accountability and building safety.

As of May 2026, 40 of the 61 tracked Grenfell-related recommendations were still in progress, including 20 relating directly to the construction industry.

For the industry, this is a positive move towards stronger standards, better information and greater accountability.
