🏆 The Ian Bell Memorial Trophy – 10 Years 🏍️

This weekend Carl headed down to Oliver’s Mount for the 80th Anniversary Scarborough Gold Cup, where he had the honour of presenting the Ian Bell Memorial Trophy.

And this year’s winners were Kieran Clarke from Eddy’s Moto Tadcaster and Rob Coppock. 🏆👏

This one felt a little bit more special than usual.

The trophy was made by our good friend Keith, using a knife-edged crank that had nipped up at some point in its life on a sidecar. Keith then made the bottom of the trophy on his own lathe, giving it a really special connection to the racing world that Ian loved so much.

Sadly, Keith passed away earlier this year, so having the trophy there this weekend brought back a lot of memories. ❤️

It also marks 10 years of the Ian Bell Memorial Trophy. Ten years of taking the trophy to Oliver’s Mount and remembering Ian through something that represents the racing he loved so much.

Scarborough brings back so many happy memories of racing over the years — and not just sidecars. Plenty of good times, good friends and stories that will never be forgotten.

It’s actually quite nice to have the trophy back home in the shop for a few days, before it heads off to Whitley Bay Trophies to have the next lot of plaques engraved and ready for the future.

Congratulations to Kieran and Rob, and thank you to everyone at Oliver’s Mount for another fantastic weekend of racing. 🏍️❤️
