When looking for a driving instructor, the most important thing I looked at was the instructor’s success rates with previous students. This, together with recommendations from others is why I chose Colin at Drive School of Motoring.

Learning to drive actually went better than I had expected, Colin’s teaching methods were very good, and I always felt at ease while driving. I certainly would recommend your school to others, your tuition was very professional, and I would change nothing, everything you are doing is perfect.

Colin is a top instructor - professional, patient and thorough and, I was able to pass first time with his expert guidance.
The theory test practice resources were super useful, and the test preparation was absolutely spot on and I would recommend to anyone starting out.

When looking for a driving instructor, I was looking for good quality training at good value for money. I must say that learning with Colin Lott from Drive School of Motoring exceeded my expectations and I found his teaching methods very helpful.
He quickly picked up on areas of my driving which needed work and helped me to correct them, usually within the same lesson.

I would recommend Drive School of Motoring as I don’t believe you would find better value anywhere else in the area and, as I passed First Time, with only One driving fault, I couldn’t have wished for a better result than that.

This man is very patient and professional and made me feel very comfortable during our lessons.
He always explained why I should/shouldn’t do a driving technique instead of just telling me to not do something, which aided my understanding of driving.
Thanks to him I was able to pass First Time in Basildon. Would definitely recommend 😊

I am so grateful to Colin who I recently had the pleasure of working with to obtain my driver's license in the UK.
Coming from India, where traffic conditions are vastly different, I was nervous about adapting to UK roads. However, Colin was an absolute gem! His patient and professional demeanor helped me a lot to learn to drive with ease, following the rules.

What impressed me most is his ability to understand my background and tailor lessons to help me adjust to UK driving rules and road conditions. He took the time to explain every detail, from roundabouts to parking, in a clear and concise manner.

His teaching style was engaging, and provided constructive feedback that helped me improve rapidly. I appreciate how he encouraged me to practice and build confidence behind the wheel.

I chose Drive School of Motoring because communication, professionalism, and respect were the most important things I was looking for in a driving school.
I was very pleased to find all of these, along with kindness and patience from my instructor, Colin.

The learning material was full of valuable knowledge focused on safe and legal driving, and the instructor’s methods were clear, practical, and easy to apply. Thanks to this approach, I felt confident and well-prepared behind the wheel.

Colin has a unique ability to convey information and give instructions in a simple way that can be easily digested, in any situation.
He was consistently calm, collected and positive throughout all of my lessons which made me feel at ease from start to finish.

Over the months I learned to drive, Colin was never late and didn't cancel a single lesson. I loved the way he supported my learning with various visual props and continuously gave feedback. I also appreciated him asking for my input when planning our next session whilst summarising the one we just had. - Nothing was too much trouble and his ability to adapted my lessons to suit my needs was impressive.

I feel very lucky to have had Colin as my instructor. His commitment to ensuring my driving knowledge was sound and I had the correct mindset was most definitely key to improving my confidence and led to me passing my test, with only 2 minors.

Amazing guy, always went above and beyond, patience of a saint and his car is fantastic to learn In. I highly recommend Colin to anyone because he succeeded where others failed and help me pass my test. Thank you so much.

That was an amazing experience, a really useful and memorable one. I have passed the theory test and was looking for an instructor when Colin from Drive School of Motoring was recommended to me by a friend who passed her practical test just days before. And I had never regretted.

Always positive, with a dose of humour, Colin knows how to make you feel comfortable, confident and less stressed being on the road! Everything was explained with patience and on a calmly voice, even if sometimes I was doing something wrong, he could ask to “find a safe and convenient place to stop” and get all the issues sorted.

Every penny I spent on tuition is now turning back through the confidence I have on the road and through a relaxed and pleasant drive. Thank you Colin for helping me to become a confident and safe driver!

For many years (too many years to publicly admit) I had been saying I will upgrade my licence from automatic to a full manual licence, but understandably other life priorities took precedence.
Colin was professional from the beginning but also human and laughed at my jokes, which is always a plus. He has a great approach to adapt his teaching to your personal learning style and apply a critical adult-learning approach. This ensured that I was involved in setting my weekly objectives, met my weekly learning outcomes and could reflect on the lessons learning at the end of each session.

As an 'experienced' driver it was a challenge to let go of my past learning and 'bad' habits that I had acquired over the years, but with Colin's tutoring, dry sense of humor and encouragement I was able to gain the skills and confidence I needed in a good amount of time and pass my practical test first time.
I would highly recommend Drive School of Motoring and Colin Lott as a driving instructor and tutor for the competitive pricing, professionalism and documented success rate.
