We are open Friday 3rd and sat 4th April 08:30-13:00
So you still have time to nip in and grab some last minute bits.

We will then close Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th for our Easter break.
We re open Wednesday 8th April at 08:30

It’s that time of year again…. Where we show our appreciation for the amazing Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team.

For a number of years we have shown our appreciation for the amazing and selfless work of the team, by giving their trailer an annual service.
This year Matty P went the extra mile and gave it a thorough clean so it’s not only safe and legal to tow… but looks the part too 🪣🧼🧽

Sometimes you just have to blow your own trumpet and say we are proud of ourselves and the team at Barnsley Towbar Centre . A lot of years and effort have been spent building and shaping the business into what it is now .

🚨 Trailer theft is rising fast 🚨

Between 1 January and 31 October 2025, 1,602 stolen trailers were reported to The Equipment Register - TER ( TER -The Equipment Register ) — a 20 percent increase on 2024.

And this figure does not represent every trailer stolen in the UK.

For businesses that own or hire trailers, specialist trailer insurance is essential protection against loss, downtime, and unexpected costs.

Did you know ?🧐🤔

You now need to register any trailer or caravan over 750kg gross, to travel to or through most countries in Europe.
Once registered the trailer will be issued with a unique registration number similar to a car registration number, this number must be displayed on the rear of the trailer.
Below is a link to the DVSA website where you can find all the information and register a trailer or caravan.
And as always team BTC have you covered, once you receive the unique registration paper work we can manufacture the plate you require for just £14 inc v.a.t
