TVSRS Ltd – Repair Terms & Conditions
(Sunroof & Water Ingress Repairs)
1. Definitions
“Company” refers to TVSRS Ltd.
“Customer” refers to the vehicle owner or authorised representative.
“Repair” refers to the specific fault diagnosed and agreed in writing on the invoice or job sheet.
2. Nature of Water Ingress Repairs
2.1 The Customer acknowledges that motor vehicles are not manufactured to be 100% waterproof.
2.2 Water ingress issues can arise due to:
• Design characteristics
• Age-related deterioration
• Blocked drainage systems
• Seal fatigue
• Body flex
• Manufacturing tolerances
• Previous repairs or accident damage
2.3 Certain environmental or test conditions (including but not limited to prolonged heavy rainfall, wind-driven rain, pressure washing, or vehicle positioning angles) cannot be fully replicated during workshop testing.
2.4 Some water ingress issues are progressive and may require further investigative work beyond the original diagnosed fault.
3. 3-Month Limited Workmanship Warranty
3.1 TVSRS Ltd provides a 3-month limited warranty from the invoice date covering defects in workmanship relating strictly to the specific leak location repaired.
3.2 The warranty applies only where water ingress is proven to originate from the exact same location and failure point previously repaired.
3.3 If water ingress occurs from:
• A different location;
• A secondary failure point;
• An unrelated seal, component or drainage area;
• A newly developed fault;
this shall be treated as a new repair and will be chargeable for parts and labour.
3.4 The warranty is limited to rectification of our workmanship only. It does not extend to consequential or progressive failures elsewhere on the vehicle.
3.5 The warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original Customer with proof of invoice.
4. Exclusions from Warranty
The warranty does not cover:
• New or unrelated leaks
• Design or manufacturing defects
• Deterioration due to age, corrosion, or material fatigue
• Blocked drains caused after repair
• Vehicle accident damage
• Third-party interference or repair
• Misuse or lack of maintenance
• Pressure washing or extreme environmental exposure
• Trim, clips, plastics or fittings that fail due to age-related brittleness
• Electrical faults unrelated to the specific repair
5. No Guarantee of Total Water Tightness
5.1 TVSRS Ltd does not guarantee that the vehicle will be rendered completely waterproof.
5.2 Repairs address identified failure points only.
5.3 Vehicles of certain makes, models, and ages may develop further leaks over time.
Nothing in this clause affects the Customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Our liability is strictly limited to the value of the repair invoice paid.
6.2 We shall not be liable for:
• Fuel costs
• Travel expenses
• Accommodation
• Loss of earnings
• Recovery or transport costs
• Additional diagnostic work carried out elsewhere
• Additional labour or parts fitted by third parties
• Consequential losses
• Indirect or economic losses
6.3 Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for vehicle return to our premises for any warranty inspection.
6.4 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
7. Risk of Age-Related Damage
7.1 Due to the age and condition of many vehicles, removal of trims, headlinings, glass panels, seals and fittings may expose weakened or brittle components.
7.2 While reasonable care is taken, the Company cannot accept liability for breakages or failures resulting from pre-existing deterioration, corrosion, fatigue, or previous repairs.
7.3 Replacement of such parts may be chargeable.
8. Diagnostic & Revisit Policy
8.1 Water ingress diagnosis can require staged investigation.
8.2 Multiple visits may be necessary depending on weather conditions and fault behaviour.
8.3 Further investigative work beyond the original agreed repair is chargeable unless covered under Clause 3.
9. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees:
• To maintain drainage systems where applicable
• Not to interfere with repaired areas
• Not to instruct third parties to carry out related work before returning to us
• To report concerns promptly within the warranty period
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
