Dyce Carriers is seeking experienced Class 1 HIAB Drivers to join our team at our Aberdeen depot.

This key operational site supports a wide range of services, including ad hoc, hot shot, heavy haulage, and full load transport. We are looking for a motivated and dependable driver to become part of our growing team.

What We Need:

✅ Class 1 HIAB Licence
✅ ADR qualification preferred (but not essential!)
✅ Professional, reliable attitude

VACANCIES - EGG PACKERS & MACHINE OPERATIVES

Due to expansion, we have vacancies for egg packers and machine operatives at our busy and state of the art packing centre near Strichen.

These positions are for full-time, Monday to Friday, 7am to 4.30pm plus occasional overtime.

Applicants must be willing to work as part of a larger team as well as use their own initiative. Good communication skills are key and must be hard working. These are manual jobs so applicants must be physically able. Candidates must have their own transport as we are countryside based, not on a bus route. Experience in factory environments or in food hygiene would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given. Opportunity to progress through the business for the correct person.

Farmlay, based at West Cockmuir near Strichen in Aberdeenshire, has been named Egg Packer of the Year at the National Egg & Poultry Awards 2026.

The family-run business is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Founded in 1946, it now produces approximately 350 million eggs annually and packs around seven million eggs a week, supplying Aldi, Lidl, Spar and other local retailers.

The Chapman family currently runs the business, with Iain Chapman now Managing Director and the third generation of the family to farm at West Cockmuir.

Farmlay has around 100 team members and works with 30 producer partners. The business currently has 450,000 free-range laying hens, with a total of 1.2 million across its partner suppliers.

The company has continued to invest in its facilities, including more than £3.5 million in its packing centre in 2025, with £2.4 million spent on a second state-of-the-art egg packer.

The family says it remains focused on quality, family values and team member welfare while continuing to grow the business and support Scottish agriculture.
