Weâve still got a few more great prize sponsors to thank before the weekend. Point Karting is always there to give back, and this time is no different. Theyâve sent along lots of great swag and useful stuff for the go-karts, including some really nice camera mounts and plenty more. We certainly canât forget Che Smith from Lombardy Raceway. When Che and I added it up yesterday, we figured he has given away about $6,500 worth of bicycles since last year. Thatâs out of this world when you stop and think about it. Pretty cool! Premier Karting also helps us with our Fastest Lap Award. At every event, the drivers who set the fastest lap in the finals each day have their names entered into a draw, with one of them going home with $500 cash. Itâs another great prize that adds a little extra excitement to the weekend. And, of course, PSL Karting. What can I say about Steph? It doesnât matter when I call or what Iâm asking for, he is always willing to step up and help. A lot of times Iâll say, âSteph, we need something for the prize giveaways,â and his answer isnât, âIâll give you this,â or, âIâll give you that.â His answer is, âWhat do you want, Gerald?â Having companies and people like that behind us means the world. Thatâs really what all these giveaways are about. You donât have to win a race to take something great home from a Cup Karts Canada weekend. You just have to show up at the driversâ meeting, which you have to do anyway, and listen to me talk for a while. Iâm not sure listening to me is worth a brand-new motor, but sometimes thatâs exactly what somebody goes home with! Over the years, people have left our driversâ meetings with motors, generators, MyChrons and all kinds of other prizes. We have the nice trophies and championship prizes for the racers who earn them on the track, but weâre also firm believers that everybody should have a chance to go home with a little something. Cup Karts Canada tries to put as much as we can back into the prize table, but we couldnât do it on this scale without all the great sponsors who step up and help us give back to the racers. Thank you to Point Karting, Che Smith and Lombardy Raceway, Premier Karting, PSL Karting and everyone else who helps make these giveaways possible. We truly appreciate it.
Il nous reste encore quelques excellents commanditaires de prix Ă remercier avant la fin de semaine. Pointe Karting est toujours lĂ pour redonner aux coureurs, et cette fois-ci ne fait pas exception. Ils nous ont envoyĂ© plein de beaux articles promotionnels et de choses pratiques pour les karts, dont de trĂšs bons supports pour camĂ©ras et bien dâautres choses. On ne peut certainement pas oublier Che Smith, du Lombardy Raceway. Quand Che et moi avons fait le calcul hier, nous sommes arrivĂ©s Ă environ 6 500 $ en vĂ©los quâil a donnĂ©s depuis lâan dernier. Quand on prend le temps dây penser, câest complĂštement fou. Câest vraiment quelque chose! Premier Karting nous aide aussi avec notre prix du tour le plus rapide. Ă chaque Ă©vĂ©nement, les pilotes qui rĂ©alisent le tour le plus rapide lors des finales de chaque journĂ©e voient leur nom ajoutĂ© au tirage. Lâun dâentre eux repart ensuite avec 500 $ comptant. Câest un autre beau prix qui ajoute encore un peu plus dâexcitation Ă la fin de semaine. Et bien sĂ»r, PSL Karting. Quâest-ce que je peux dire au sujet de Steph? Peu importe quand je lâappelle ou ce que je lui demande, il est toujours prĂȘt Ă embarquer et Ă nous aider. Souvent, je lui dis : « Steph, on a besoin de quelque chose pour nos tirages », et sa rĂ©ponse nâest pas : « Je vais te donner ceci » ou « Je vais te donner cela ». Sa rĂ©ponse, câest : « Quâest-ce que tu veux, Gerald? » Avoir des entreprises et des gens comme ça derriĂšre nous, ça reprĂ©sente Ă©normĂ©ment pour nous. Câest vraiment ça, le but de tous ces tirages. Vous nâavez pas besoin de gagner une course pour repartir avec un beau prix lors dâune fin de semaine de Cup Karts Canada. Vous avez seulement besoin de vous prĂ©senter Ă la rĂ©union des pilotes, ce que vous devez faire de toute façon, et de mâĂ©couter parler pendant un bout de temps. Je ne suis pas certain que ça vaut un moteur neuf, mais parfois, câest exactement ce que quelquâun rapporte Ă la maison! Au fil des annĂ©es, des gens sont repartis de nos rĂ©unions des pilotes avec des moteurs, des gĂ©nĂ©ratrices, des MyChron et toutes sortes dâautres prix. Nous avons de beaux trophĂ©es et des prix de championnat pour ceux qui les mĂ©ritent en piste, mais nous croyons aussi fermement que tout le monde devrait avoir la chance de repartir avec un petit quelque chose. Cup Karts Canada essaie dâen mettre le plus possible sur la table de prix, mais nous ne pourrions jamais en faire autant sans tous les excellents commanditaires qui embarquent avec nous et nous aident Ă redonner aux coureurs. Un gros merci Ă Pointe Karting, Ă Che Smith et au Lombardy Raceway, Ă Premier Karting, Ă PSL Karting ainsi quâĂ tous ceux qui rendent ces tirages possibles. On lâapprĂ©cie vraiment!
