Our last race weekend of the 2026 season was definitely full of ups and downs.
The weather kept us from making any passes until Saturday. We had made some big changes to the gearing and tune-up, so unfortunately our first pass was a no-go. On the second pass, we made it down the track with a 6.64, but had some tire spin and drove through the clutch down track.
Sunday morning, we ran into an issue with the shifter in the burnout box. We changed the shift pins and were able to make first round. The bike ran a 6.50 at 213 mph, giving us a new personal-best ET by a very slim margin. Our previous best was a 6.51!
We had a bye run in the second round and planned to make the pass, hoping to finally put a 6.4 on the board. Unfortunately, the bike had other plans. The shift issue came back, and the bike wouldn’t stay in high gear during the burnout.
With no time to figure out the cause of the issue, we made the tough call not to make the final.
Not exactly the way we wanted to end the season, but we’re still proud of the progress we made and finishing the year with a new PB. A 6.50 at 213 mph is a pretty good way to close out 2026.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, helped us, and cheered us on all season. We’ll be back in 2027 ready to chase that 6.4! 🏁
