−30 doesn't negotiate.

The first properly cold week finds everything you've been putting off. The transmission that's been shifting a bit lazy. The brakes that started squealing in August. The front end that clunks over the tracks. The 4x4 you haven't actually tested since last winter.

None of it gets better on its own, and all of it gets more expensive once you're stuck.

Book it in now while there's still room in the schedule. Fluid and filter, brakes checked, front end looked over, 4x4 confirmed working before you need it.

Nobody finds out what a job costs after it’s finished. Not here.

We diagnose it, we call you, we tell you what’s actually wrong and what it takes to fix. Then you decide. That’s the whole rule and it doesn’t bend.

It works the other way too. If it doesn’t need the work you came in worried about, that’s what you’ll hear.

A transmission is a two-to-four thousand dollar decision. A brake job is smaller, but it’s still your money. Neither one should be made blind.

Here's something most shops won't tell you.

We work on light- and medium-duty vehicles. Half-tons, three-quarter tons, SUVs, minivans, the car your kid just started driving. That's it — we don't take in picker trucks or heavy equipment.

That's not a limitation, it's a decision. It's the reason your vehicle isn't parked in the corner of a lot for three weeks waiting behind a machine that takes four days a side.

Your truck is the thing that gets you to work. We treat the turnaround like that matters, because it does.

And once it's here, it's all handled in the same building: transmission diagnostics, rebuilds and replacements, brakes, steering and suspension, front-end repairs, differentials and transfer cases, 4x4 systems, electrical diagnostics, and routine maintenance and fluid service.

Backed a minimum of 1 year / 20,000 km, up to 3 years.

Winter doesn't break things. It finds the things that were already going.

And it's never just one item. The transmission that's been shifting a bit lazy, the brakes that started squealing in August, the front end that clunks over the tracks by the mall — the first properly cold week brings all of it forward at the same time.

Here's the useful part: every one of these is something we handle in the same building, on the same visit. You don't need one shop for the driveline and another for the brakes.

So, for the record.

Transmission diagnostics, rebuilds and replacements — that's the specialty, and it's the name on the building.

But also: brakes, steering and suspension, front-end work, differentials and transfer cases, 4x4 systems, electrical diagnostics, and routine maintenance and fluid services.

Light- and medium-duty vehicles. Half-tons, three-quarter tons, SUVs, minivans, the car your kid just started driving.

Basically: if it's the thing that gets you from your driveway to your job, we work on it. The transmission side just means that when the problem does turn out to be driveline, nobody here is guessing.

That's the shop at the end of the day.

We're losing four or five minutes of daylight a day right now, which is the Peace Country's way of telling you what's coming.

Cold is the test your transmission either passes or fails. At −30 the fluid thickens, and every weak spot you've been living with all summer shows up at once — the slow shift, the little shudder, the hesitation backing out of the driveway. Usually at 7am. Usually when you're already late.

It's the same every year. The calls start the week of the first hard frost, and by then the schedule's tight.

Get the fluid, the filter and a full inspection done while there's still room in the book. A couple of hours now beats a rebuild in January.
