Stand Fast Auto Repair was established in February 2011, with a staff that together has over 70 years of professional mechanical experience. Owner, Paul Grant, had always dreamed of opening his own auto repair shop, and it is reflected in his work. Paul doesn’t let a vehicle out of his shop until he is satisfied the job is done right. He has 25 years of experience working with a dealership. We have experience in car repair you can trust. Our mission is to have happy customers and offer a 30-day guarantee on all workmanship. Zuzanna Grant manages all the day-to-day paperwork and keeps everything in order, including the 'boys’.

Three pedals and a stick shift… a sight we don’t see as often these days! 👀⚙️

A standard—or manual—transmission puts you in charge of choosing the gears. Pressing the clutch pedal disconnects the engine from the transmission so you can shift. As you release it, the clutch reconnects them, sending power through the transmission to the wheels. 🚗

Lower gears help get you moving, while higher gears let you cruise at speed with lower engine RPM.

A little coordination, a little practice, and occasionally a stall at the worst possible moment. 😅

Trivia time… what’s worse than an engine with no oil? An engine with TRIPLE the oil?

Trick question—both can cause serious damage. 🤦‍♂️🛢️

More oil doesn’t mean more protection. Too much can get whipped into foam, interfere with proper lubrication, and leave you with leaks and a very expensive headache. 😬

Your engine has a recommended oil level for a reason. If a little is good, triple is NOT better!
