Another kart has arrived in the DSR workshop! 🏁

Recently purchased as a used package by a driver new to the sport, this kart is currently undergoing a thorough inspection, safety check, service, and a few upgrades to ensure it’s ready for the track.

Our goal is simple: to make sure the driver can head out with confidence, knowing the kart is safe, reliable, and race-ready from the ground up.

Super 4s Race results.

I ran in the 4SS Heavy class at Eastern Creek on Saturday.

Starting off with a relatively cool morning, it heated up rather quickly and the track was giving out oodles of grip as the day warmed.

After strong performances in the early heats, the only thing I changed was tire pressures during the day, cracking into the 49sec bracket!

Starting the final in P3, a solid start but the two in front just kept walking away. I kept pushing, keeping my 3rd place to the finish! My first podium!

Off to Canberra this coming weekend, hopefully I can snag another podium finish with the team.

Also met some of the other DSR lads, Ray, Glen, Wazza. Great people, hope to catch you at the track soon.

P.S. As you can see I get around a bit, would you like me to help with your business advertising? Plenty of space on the trailer, but can go the whole hog with suits and kart graphics.

KartGPT - SEK AUSTRALIAN ENDURANCE TITLES SPORTSMAXX RUNNERS UP

Hoping to bounce back from a disappointing Coffs Harbour round, DSR customers KartGPT combined forces with DSR Karts for the Australian Titles at Taree. Entered in an extremely competitive Sportsmaxx class, the team welcomed Dion into their driver lineup, with regulars Michael, Toby and Eric getting to race a DSR Predator for the very first time.

Starting in the midfield of the massive 36 kart field , the team elected to run an alternate strategy by taking several stops earlier, dropping them down the order initially. The racing was busy and chaotic, but as day turned to night the drivers remained consistent and quick, working their way up the field to end the first day 3rd in class and 13th overall.

Day 2 brought a track direction change, but more significantly a weather change. As the rain began to fall, Dion made a brilliant call to switch to wets early, allowing Eric to vault up the order as others struggled in the dampening conditions trying to stay out on slicks.

As the weather worsened the team soldiered on. A quick scare with the right engine was resolved with efficient work from Dion and Phil in the pits, allowing the team to stay in the fight. Young Toby showed talent beyond his years in his first ever time driving on wet tyres, and the experience of Dion and Michael shone through as they maintained rapid pace even as the tyres faded at race end.

Ultimately it was 2nd place in class and 7th overall in one of the strongest endurance karting fields ever, an enormous achievement that could’ve only been possible with the support of Dion and Bel. The team wants to extend a huge thank you to DSR, Michael’s Helmet Designs and SEK NSW & QLD for making this brilliant event a reality.
