Today, we share some very sad news with our Grealy Motors & Towing family and the wider community.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our founder, Brian Patrick Grealy, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, 18 July, surrounded by his three children.
More than 50 years ago, Brian started Grealy Motors with little more than a strong work ethic, a willingness to help others, and a belief that if you looked after people, they’d remember you. Those values have become the foundation of our business and continue to guide us every single day.
Many of our customers were fortunate enough to know Brian personally. Others may never have met him, but they have experienced the business, culture and reputation he built through decades of dedication to our community.
Brian leaves behind a legacy that will live on through our family, our team and the business he worked so hard to create. We are incredibly proud to continue what he started and remain committed to the values he instilled in all of us.
Brian is now reunited with his beloved wife, Mary.
As we come together to celebrate Brian’s life, our office and mechanical workshop will be closed on Tuesday, 28 July. Our Emergency Roadside Assistance patrols will continue to operate with limited staff to ensure essential roadside services remain available while our team farewells a truly remarkable man.
For those wishing to pay their respects, Brian’s funeral will be held:

On behalf of the entire Grealy family, thank you for the overwhelming kindness, heartfelt messages and support we have received during this incredibly difficult time. Your compassion means more to us than words can express.
Rest easy, Brian.
Your legacy lives on in every vehicle repaired, every customer helped, every tow completed, and every member of the Grealy family who continues the work you began.
