Small problems can become big problems if they’re left unchecked.
Regularly checking your vehicle isn’t just about waiting for something to go wrong.
Here are a few examples of things we’ve come across that can easily be overlooked:
● Worn spark plugs, the difference between old and new can be significant. Worn plugs can affect starting, performance, fuel economy and overall engine operation.
● Damaged or deteriorated components or parts can wear, loosen or deteriorate without giving you an obvious warning and can pose significant safety hazards. For example, this loose and damaged towball.
● Tyres and brakes, regular visual inspections can pick up wear, damage or other issues before they become a bigger safety concern. This tyre, for example, had a puncture that may not have been obvious at first glance.
● Leaks and fluid issues even a small leak can be an early warning that something needs attention. This fuel drain plug was leaking which is less than ideal with the cost of fuel at the moment!
Your vehicle doesn’t always tell you when something is starting to fail.
A regular inspection can help identify problems early, potentially saving you money, inconvenience and an unexpected breakdown.
