Why can’t every paint-correction job be quoted accurately from the make, model and a couple of photographs?
Because two vehicles of the same age can have completely different paint histories.
Before confirming the work required, we need to consider the number and depth of the scratches, previous repairs, touch-ups, stone chips, paint thickness and what result the owner is expecting.
Some defects can be substantially reduced. Others have already gone through the clear coat or colour and cannot be polished away.
An inspection helps us recommend a sensible level of correction without removing unnecessary clear coat while chasing damage that really requires paint repair.
We would rather explain the limitations honestly before starting than make promises the existing paint cannot support.
