Rombus Industries Flexible Concrete Pavement | Built to Handle Heavy Machinery | Never Thicker Than 4cm

19/10/2026

130m² of workshop floor. All prepped by one person. 👏

This Rombus Fusion V2 project had the footings and grid filled in the same pour, with previously used Rombus grid put back to work along one edge.

Reusing that material reduced how much new grid the owner needed to buy. A practical saving when you’ve got a whole workshop to cover.

Get the preparation right before the grid goes down. It matters just as much as what you see on top.

A new driveway without ripping up the old one. Back in use in 48 hours. 👏

For this Perth home, low spots in the existing asphalt were levelled before Rombus Fusion V2 was laid and filled with concrete.

Keeping the asphalt in place avoided a full demolition and kept 13.3 tonnes of material out of landfill.

A new concrete surface, with less disruption to getting in and out of home.

40mm thick. More going on than meets the eye.

Rombus V1 combines a recycled plastic grid with concrete to create one integrated pavement system.

With the recommended 32 MPa concrete mix, its tested concrete-filled crush resistance exceeds 10,000 tonnes/m² at 20°C.

Thickness is one part of the picture. How the system works together is the other.

468m³ less concrete. Same 4,500m² of working yard.

This Newman project used 207mÂł of concrete with Rombus Fusion V2, compared with 675mÂł for a conventional 150mm slab.

A hardstand supporting road trains and 16-tonne forklifts, with a whole lot less concrete to order, transport and pour.

130m² of workshop floor, with the preparation handled by one DIYer. 👏

This project used Rombus Fusion V2, with concrete poured into the footings and grid in the same pour.

Previously used Rombus grid was also put back to work along one edge, reducing the amount of new grid the owner needed to buy.

A practical way to make use of what you’ve already got.

Rombus Grid V1 and Rombus Fusion V2 were developed to make concrete pavement more material efficient.

Both systems are manufactured from recycled plastic and are designed to become encapsulated within the finished concrete pavement.

By changing the way the pavement is constructed, Rombus can significantly reduce the amount of concrete required compared with conventional construction methods.

Across larger projects, those reductions can add up quickly, using less concrete while putting recycled plastic back to work in long term infrastructure.

Small team. Big belief in what we’re building.

Our Rombus crew shows up day in, day out, backing the product, backing each other and putting in the work behind the scenes to keep things moving.

When you’re building something different, the people around it matter. We’re lucky to have a team that genuinely believes in Rombus and where it’s headed. 🇦🇺

Do you need to vibrate Rombus?

In most pours, the walk-behind trowel already creates mechanical vibration through the grid, helping the concrete settle into the cells and work out trapped air.

Rombus should be poured using the approved 32 MPa concrete mix. If the concrete arrives and isn’t flowing or settling as expected, additional vibration can be used where needed to help it move properly through the grid.
