New state, new plates—and a proper Melbourne welcome. 🇦🇺

Dilu recently brought this VE GTS to PSI Performance after purchasing it in Adelaide and bringing it across to Victoria.

Before it could be registered here, it needed to complete the Victorian roadworthy process. We carried out the RWC inspection and worked through the required repairs and maintenance, including:

• New rocker-cover gaskets
• New engine mounts
• Brake-fluid flush
• Replacement power-steering cap
• Several additional minor items requiring attention

Nothing wild—just the important mechanical details handled properly so Dilu could move forward with the Victorian registration process confidently.

A very tidy VE GTS, now officially welcomed from South Australia to its new home in Melbourne.

Thank you, Dilu, for trusting PSI Performance with it.

Do it once. Do it right.

From Maloo to GTS… apparently Chris has decided two doors simply weren’t enough. 😂

Our good friend Chris from Elite Car Detailing Studio recently brought in his newly purchased VF GTS a proper five-seat, four-door, LSA-powered sedan after recently moving on from the VF Maloo we had also worked on for him.

He’s only owned the car for a couple of weeks, but unfortunately it needed a little more attention than expected. Even more surprising considering it had recently been supplied with a RWC… 🤔😥

We carried out a full health and safety inspection, including a compression test, complete vehicle once-over, fluid and maintenance checks, and a detailed assessment of the areas that needed attention. From there, we worked through as many of the concerns as possible within Chris’s very tight schedule and completed the additional maintenance and repairs he elected to have done while the car was with us.

Once the mechanical side was where we wanted it, it was onto the Mainline hub dyno.

And the difference from tuning alone was certainly worth talking about.

The final result was 613.8 HP @ 5,664 RPM and 1151.2 dNm @ 2,419 RPM, with a much healthier, stronger and more refined package than what arrived.

Chris, thank you again for the continued support, the business, the trust, and for being such a valued partner of PSI. You also somehow manage to make every visit entertaining… usually at our expense. 😂

Enjoy the new family-friendly LSA weapon mate because apparently “practical” now means supercharged V8 sedan.

Neville’s WK Grange came in with what sounded like a nice, simple plan…

Full exhaust, OTR and a tune.

Then, as these things tend to do, one job became another… then another… and before long Neville had pretty much ticked the “while you’re there” box on half the car. 😂

What followed was a proper freshen-up and upgrade package, including a camshaft upgrade kit, cam bearings, valve springs, pushrods, ARP hardware, fresh gaskets and seals, suspension and steering repairs, differential servicing, ignition components, general repairs and plenty of attention to the little things that make the whole car feel right again.

The end result is exactly what we wanted a much happier WK Grange that drives better, performs better and is now in a far better place than when it first rolled through the door.

Finished off with the full exhaust, VCM OTR and a custom hub dyno tune, Neville’s Grange went on to produce a healthy 378.4 HP at the hubs with 478.1 dNm.

Neville himself was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Good laughs, great communication and complete trust in the process which always makes jobs like this even more enjoyable for us.

As always, we took plenty of pride in the workmanship throughout. Whether it’s a performance upgrade, a repair or something we discover along the way, the standard doesn’t change.

Do it once. Do it right.

Thanks again Neville — enjoy the Grange mate. It certainly left us a very different car to the one that arrived. 👌

Here’s another version of one of the most rewarding builds we’ve had through PSI. 💚

Adrian’s Mk1 Es**rt was a massive transformation from where it started — yellow paint, carburettors, RS-style wheels and factory trim — to the finished car you see here today.

Nearly 12 months of work, plenty of problem solving, fabrication, changes along the way and a fair few “while we’re here…” moments 😂 but the end result made every bit of it worthwhile.

A huge thank you again to everyone who played a part in bringing this car together:

And a special thank you to Cherie from for the editing skills on this reel and for helping us capture this build properly. 🙌 You’ve absolutely nailed it.

Building this Es**rt for my cousin made the whole project that little bit more special. One hell of a transformation, one hell of a journey, and definitely a build we’re proud to have our name on. 💚🏁

“Just a head and cam package,” they said… 😂

Josh brought his Impulse Blue VZ SS Ute into PSI for what should have been a relatively straightforward upgrade. What followed was the automotive equivalent of opening a can of worms—only to discover the worms had ordered more worms.

The final package included CNC-ported heads, a VCM 825 camshaft, CHE trunnions, upgraded timing chain and oil pump, ARP bolts, rear main seal, clutch kit, starter motor, fuel pump, crank and cam sensors, OTR intake, exhaust system, plus a Truetrac and gear upgrade for the diff.

You name it—we probably repaired, replaced or upgraded it.

Then there was the “healthy little LS1” with no identification tags… which somehow required 6.0-litre cam bearings. 🤭🤐 The little engine that could certainly kept us guessing!

After more than two months, several serious hurdles and enough plot twists to fill an entire Netflix series, we refused to let this one beat us. With Josh’s patience and understanding—and our determination to see the job through—we finally got this VZ exactly where it needed to be.

The result was a stout 423.9 HP and 506.7 Nm at the hubs, with peak power recorded at 6,532 RPM. A brilliant result for the mysterious little LS1 that fought us nearly every step of the way!

Some builds test every bit of your knowledge, patience and persistence—but they’re also the ones that make the finished result feel even better.

Thank you, Josh, for trusting us, remaining patient and giving us the opportunity to finish the job properly. This Impulse Blue beast put up one hell of a fight—but PSI got the final word. 💪🏿

350,000+ KMS AND STILL NOT READY TO RETIRE 💪🏿🔥

Manlito is back at PSI Performance with his VF Calais — this time with a lifter noise that unfortunately had caused a little more damage than we first expected. 😅

The positive side?

Upgrade time. 💪🏿

Once we got into it, we addressed everything that needed attention while we were there and upgraded the right components along the way:

• New LS7 lifters
• New oil pump
• New VCM camshaft
• New cam bearings
• New sump gasket
• New CHE trunnions
• New heavy-duty pushrods
• New ARP crank bolt
• New water pump gaskets
• New timing cover gasket
• New front crank seal
• New engine mounts
• New water pump
• New… well, you get the idea. 😂

At 350,000+ kilometres, this L77 has certainly done some work. This wasn’t a full engine recondition, but while it was apart we made sure the affected areas were properly repaired, the necessary components were replaced and the supporting hardware was upgraded to give it the best chance at plenty more life.

The combo itself stays simple and proven — cam, OTR and exhaust — and for a high-kilometre L77, it’s still producing very respectable power and driving exactly how it should.

That’s what we’re about at PSI Performance. Find the problem, fix what actually needs fixing, upgrade where it makes sense and get the car back out there doing what it was built to do.

No unnecessary fluff. No pretending it’s something it isn’t.
Just the right repair, the right parts and getting it done properly. 🔧🔥

Thanks again for the continued support, Manlito. Now let’s see how far past 350,000 km this thing wants to go. 😂

BUILT AT HOME. FINISHED ON THE HUBS. 🔥

Bradley’s VF Maloo came back to PSI Performance after a serious transformation — upgraded and repaired at the same time, with the factory LS3 making way for a tough 416ci combination built to handle business.

The new combo features Dart sleeves, a Turbo Killer camshaft, Blackwell CNC heads, CHE trunnions and just about all the extra fruit you can think of. 💪

The best part? Brad took the short motor and turned it into a complete long motor himself, then removed and refitted the whole package back into the Maloo. That’s a massive effort in itself.

We also set him up with an upgraded Truetrac 3.9 diff, along with a new high-stall converter properly matched to the engine and cam combination.

Brad then did everything the right way — ran the engine and diff in, completed his fluid changes, flushes and checks, then brought it back to PSI Performance for the final piece of the puzzle: onto the Mainline hubs to get the calibration dialled in and the whole package working together properly.

What a successful self-built mission. 👏

Bradley has been an absolute gentleman to deal with, along with his father Frank and the whole family. Jobs like this are a privilege for us because we get to help finish off something the owner has poured so much of their own time and effort into.

10 stars, Brad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you for trusting PSI Performance with the diff, converter and tuning side of the build. We genuinely appreciate the opportunity and can’t wait to see this Maloo get put to work! 🚀

Some builds are just jobs… this one became a journey. 💚

This Mk1 Es**rt rolled into PSI wearing yellow paint, carburettors, RS-style wheels and factory trim. Nearly 12 months later, it’s been completely transformed into the car Adrian always envisioned.

The list is massive:
✔️ Full strip and repaint by the boys at
✔️ UK Image Wheels with a shortened diff and axles to suit
✔️ Custom caster arm conversion and front track adjustment.
✔️Coil over upgrade
✔️ Four-wheel disc brake upgrade
✔️ New seats and door trims.
✔️ FuelTech EFI conversion with an EFI Hardware ITB setup.
✔️Windows tinted by Paul from dark side of the film
✔️ Electronic fuel system, shortened steering rack, upgraded clutch, phased distributor, front guard clearancing for steering sweep… and finally onto the hubs where, with some help from the legend N**s at FuelTech, we dialled it in exactly as it should be.

That’s only part of the story…

This build pushed us, tested us and reminded us that doing things properly takes time. There were plenty of moments where we loved it… and plenty where we wanted to push it into the corner! 😂 But seeing the finished product makes every late night and challenge worthwhile.

Building this for my cousin made it even more special. It was a privilege from start to finish, and I’d do it all again tomorrow.

A huge thank you to everyone who had a hand in bringing this Es**rt to life. If I’ve missed your name, please know your contribution didn’t go unnoticed.

And a special thanks to Cherie from Uncanny Media for jumping in last minute to capture these shots and help us put together this reel.

This is just the start… we’ve got plenty more photos of the transformation coming soon. Stay tuned. 👌

🚨 Proof that performance addiction is a real thing… once you’ve had one PSI build, there’s no going back. 😏

A huge welcome back to our good friend and loyal customer, Eddy, who’s no stranger to the PSI family. Last year we transformed his stealthy black C5 Corvette with an extensive package including a head & cam upgrade, gearbox, converter, custom clutch, OTR, mechanical repairs and a complete custom dyno calibration. The result? An absolute weapon.

Now he’s back… but this time with the newest addition to the fleet—his N Series Hyundai i30. 🔥

We treated the i30 to our Stage 2 Package, featuring a high-flow intake pod upgrade and a complete turbo-back exhaust system fitted with Varex remote-controlled rear mufflers. The best part? You still retain full factory functionality across all drive modes while enjoying a completely different driving experience.

✅ More power.
✅ More torque.
✅ Better throttle response.
✅ A deeper, more aggressive soundtrack when you want it.
✅ Noticeably improved fuel efficiency that’ll even make you smile when you’re standing at the bowser.

The fleet has definitely levelled up… from an all-black Corvette to a black-and-red combo that absolutely nails the look. Now the only challenge is keeping that little rocket pointing in the same direction every time the boost comes on… and resisting the temptation to turn every set of traffic lights into a qualifying lap. 😂

Congratulations, Eddy! We genuinely appreciate your continued trust and support. It’s relationships like these that make what we do so rewarding. Enjoy the new setup, mate—we can’t wait to see what’s next.
