Another tow rig sorted and ready for work! 💪

This Chevrolet Silverado 1500 came in for a rear load-assist airbag installation using a LOGIQ Air Suspension Solutions kit. Due to the fitment of the Walkinshaw Performance exhaust system, the rear section of the exhaust required modification to provide adequate clearance for the airbags and ensure reliable operation under load.

The result is a clean installation that improves towing stability, ride quality, and load-carrying capability without compromising exhaust clearance.

Something a little different rolled into the workshop!

This Ford Ranger came in fitted with a lazy axle setup and suffering from ongoing airbag system issues. With four independent rear airbags controlled by an outdated fully mechanical system, reliability had become a major concern, especially with no product support available for repairs.

We removed the entire existing system and installed:

• Suspension VU4 valve block
• 3-gallon air tank with custom fabricated brackets
• VIAIR | 12V and 24V Air Compressors 400C compressor
• New DOT-approved airlines to each airbag
• Hidden switches and gauges inside the cabin
• Accessible water trap and drain setup
• Nitto fitting for air tools
• Complete new wiring throughout

This setup is built around a 5th wheel tow hitch and is used to haul a large caravan around Australia, so reliability was absolutely critical. The owners can now hit the road with confidence, knowing their air system is built to perform when it matters most.

HEAVEN SEVEN 🪽

A car that needs no introduction — ’s stunning ’57 Bel Air has been turning heads at car shows, meets and across social media over the last 12 months.

Despite a tight timeframe, we transformed the suspension setup with a custom triangulated 4-link rear end, relocating the shock absorbers well above the scrub line. The chassis was reinforced throughout, with all brackets fully braced side-to-side for maximum strength. Up front, the shocks were relocated and bellows-style airbags were fitted front and rear.

Not only does this provide a significantly better ride quality compared to bolt-in applications, but it also delivers increased suspension travel and allows the use of faster, higher-pressure air management systems. As an added bonus, it’s also a more cost-effective solution.

For air management, we installed external ½-inch valves and airlines, twin seamless 3-gallon tanks running 200psi, twin Viair 485C compressors, and finished everything off with gauges and switch controls neatly mounted inside the cabin.

With the airbag system complete, we then shortened the differential to suit the reverse-offset wire wheels, allowing the car to roll aired-out while retaining the spats. To finish the build, we upgraded the charging system with a high-output alternator conversion and installed a hidden electric power steering pump.

The result is a car that looks incredible laid out on the ground while driving better than ever.

This one received a clean hidden air supply setup with the water trap/drain still easily accessible for servicing, paired with bolt-in ShockWave airbags, upgraded compressor and an valve block for fast, reliable performance.

TRUFFLE PIG 🐷

This 60 Apache came in needing a bunch of work to get it sitting and driving right — and we were happy to help.

First up was the stance. The rear had already been notched and was laying bar on the ground, but the front still sat way too high even with smaller tyres, giving the truck a bit of an unfinished look. We started by cutting out the old drop pockets, ditching the 6 inch bags and building a new set of our own to suit 7 inch bags. This setup gives these trucks a way better ride, more travel and needs less pressure to lift.

From there we pancaked the K-frame, flipped the tie rods, relocated the shocks, fitted matching size tyres and trimmed the front guards to suit. A pair of bonnet hinges were then installed to replace the factory hinges that would foul on the tyres when aired out.

The entire air system was removed and gone through properly — resealing everything, TIG welding our compressor brackets to the tank, then adding an eLevel+ system, custom hardlines and a complete rewire of the existing air setup.

One of the final touches we suggested was ditching the white walls and colour coded wheels, instead going with a sinister black tyre, wheel and dog dish cap combo which completely changed the look of the truck.

Big things coming for this Apache, but for now it finally sits right, rides right and looks the part.

KINGSWOOD COUNTRY 🐴

Super clean bowtie-powered HQ in for a rear airbag setup. While it was here, we also shortened the diff and supplied a pair of billet axles. With a bit of guard work, we managed to squeeze the dished steelies under the rear — looks killer with the factory dog dish caps and chrome trims.

The airbag setup is an kit featuring a 5-gallon tank painted body colour, our TIG-welded compressor brackets, twin Viair compressors, and custom hardlines throughout. Super clean, symmetrical install that’s also future-proofed for front bags down the track.

Rear-only airbag kit fitted to this super tidy 5L VS Statesman.

The owner had already colour-matched the Senator wheels to the lower section of the car, so carrying that through to the airtank was an easy call — and it came up unreal.

To keep everything neat, we TIG-welded our comp brackets along with custom legs for the tank, mounting it cleanly off the parcel shelf. The setup runs twin Viair 444C compressors and is finished off with a full set of hardlines for that crisp, show-quality look.

TWO FOR TWO! 🛻

We’ve had both of these big Mercedes Sprinters through the shop for rear load-assist airbag setups — one built for play, the other for work — and now both are ready to carry whatever gets thrown at them.

Both vans are running Airide Suspension Supplies rear load-assist kits, paired with LogiqAir management systems, hidden air tanks, and Nitto fittings to run air tools on the go.

The grey 4x4 also scored a killer canopy setup by Zerker Australia, turning it into a seriously capable getaway and camping rig.
