With our roads the way they are, weโ€™re all out here playing Mario Kart trying to dodge potholes!

Hit one hard enough and it can knock your wheel alignment out, causing uneven tyre wear, pulling to one side or an off-centre steering wheel.

Keeping your wheels aligned helps your car handle properly and your tyres last longer.

We had a car in recently for a routine service, and the customer mentioned a strong diesel smell. Turned out to be diesel leaking straight off the top of an injector, dripping onto the exhaust. Not exactly the kind of drip you want anywhere near something hot.

A smell means something's wrong. Figuring out exactly what, and how serious it is, takes someone actually getting in there and tracking it down, which is exactly what happens every time we service a car.

So if something smells a bit off, don't just wait for it to go away on its own. Mention it next time you're in, or get it looked at sooner rather than later.

When was the last time your car had a proper check over? Not just an oil change, an actual look at brakes, tyres, belts, hoses and fluids.

Most problems don't show up until they're already expensive. A weak belt, low coolant, or worn brake pads all sit quietly until they fail, usually at the worst possible time.

This is what happens during a routine service here. Hood up, full inspection, nothing skipped. You get a video walkthrough of what we find, a road test, and 6 months of free roadside assist. Nothing gets touched without you saying yes first.

A lot of places do a quick once-over and call it a service. Hereโ€™s what actually happens during a spring service with us this week.

We check your brakes, lights, wipers and engine bay. We check fluid levels, belts, hoses and the cooling system. We check tyre condition and pressures, inspect your brake pads and rotors, and check over your suspension and steering components for wear or anything that needs attention.

Every service gets a video walkthrough, so you can actually see what weโ€™ve found โ€” you donโ€™t just have to take our word for it.

Youโ€™ll also get a road test, a wash and 6 months of FREE roadside assist.

If we find anything extra, weโ€™ll call you before we touch it. No surprise line items and no pressure to say yes on the spot.

Feeling a little extra thankful today.

With today being R U OK? Day, something happened that really made us appreciate the people we have around us.

Being a family run business, sometimes itโ€™s hard to switch off, especially when thereโ€™s a bit going on outside of work.

We are so lucky to have some really amazing customers, and over the years a lot of them have become valued friends as well.

Today one of our beautiful customers, Haylee, walked in with flowers, chocolates and a bonus hug.

It was such a simple thing, but honestly it meant more than she probably realised.

Most people don't think about their car until something goes wrong. That's the expensive way to do it.

Spring is when it catches up with you. Cold mornings turn into hot afternoons. Dust picks up on the roads. Coolant that dropped over winter and belts that dried out sit quietly, until they fail, usually on a long drive when you need the car most.

A customer, Rob, came to us after another workshop had given him an estimate for extra work he wasnโ€™t expecting. We took the time to inspect the car properly and gave him an honest estimate based only on what the vehicle actually needed, with no guessing.

Our service videos also helped Rob see exactly what we were seeing, so he could understand why certain repairs were recommended and make an informed decision.

Catching things like a worn belt or low coolant early can mean a small repair. Leave it until the middle of summer and it can quickly turn into a tow truck and a much bigger bill.

We know everyone is keeping a closer eye on their budget at the moment, and when your car seems to be running fine, servicing can be an easy thing to put off.

But we had a vehicle in the workshop recently that was a pretty good reminder of why regular servicing matters. It hadnโ€™t been serviced for quite some time and unfortunately, it now needs an engine replacement โ€” something that potentially could have been avoided with regular servicing and maintenance.

Regular servicing gives us a chance to spot things like leaks, worn parts, low fluid levels and other issues early, before a small problem has the chance to become a costly one.

And that doesnโ€™t mean everything we find needs to be fixed straight away.

Weโ€™ll let you know what needs attention now, what can wait, and what we can simply keep an eye on. It also gives you some notice about things that may be coming up, so you can plan for them rather than being caught by surprise.

Keeping your car maintained doesnโ€™t have to mean doing everything at once. Sometimes itโ€™s simply about staying ahead of it. ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿš—
