KARTING AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES TYRE SUPPLIERS FOR 2027-2031

The Board of Karting Australia has confirmed the appointment of Maxxis and Vega as the tyre suppliers for Karting Australia sanctioned competition from January 1, 2027, through to December 31, 2031.

This outcome follows an extensive tender and evaluation process undertaken over the past 18 months by Karting Australia management and directors.

Group 1 (Cadet 9 and Cadet 12) – Maxxis KA-Cadet
Group 2 (KA3 Junior, KA3 Senior, TaG 125 Restricted) – Maxxis RED MAO
Group 3 (TaG 125, Rotax, KA2) – Vega KA-H
Group 4 (KZ2, X30, Open Performance) – Vega KA-M
Group 5 (4SS, 4SS Supersport) – Maxxis Sport

Back in the day, having an Alfano Pro Plus LV on your kart was an absolute must. Every team kart. Every customer kart. Everyone wanted one.
Then GPS lap timers came along… and things moved on....blah blah blah
So as we upgrade all our systems, this trusty old unit is looking for a new home.

✔️ Excellent working condition
✔️ Uses the older magnetic pickup system (still used at many tracks)
✔️ Simple, reliable lap timing, includes RPM and magnetic pickup
It might be old school… but it still does the job 👍

At the recent RKA event, things got… creative 😅
Gordon jumped in to road test the custom-built kart pusher — purpose-built (because why wouldn’t you 😎)
Mission: launch Mitch #54 out of the gate 💨

Honestly… best thing we’ve seen in a long time. 👏👏👏🔧

Who needs a warm-up lap when you’ve got Gordon on horsepower duty 💪

🏁🔥 Retro Karting Australia – Round 1 | Geelong, VIC 🔥🏁

What a way to kick off the RKA Series! The crew from Stable Karting had an amazing weekend down in Geelong for Round 1 🙌

Big smiles, fast laps, and plenty of laughs all round 😄

⭐ Arie’s highlight of the weekend?
Getting the chance to meet Anton de Pasquale from Team 18, who dropped in for the day to jump on the spanners for Stable Karting driver Mitch Croke #54 🔧🏎️

He also got to try the local chicken parmigiana — YUMO! 😋

We couldn’t camp this time, but we grabbed an Airbnb house instead… and honestly, we had so much fun! 🏡🎉 (not sure about the bed though)

“I didn’t get to practice this weekend — there were too many people on the circuit getting ready — but that’s okay. I had fun with the team and really enjoyed going away.” 💙🧡

That’s what it’s all about Arie #72 🙌
