CD001/009 JK Full 6-Speed Dog Engagement Kit Almost There.

It’s a huge relief to see our team finalizing the CD001/009 JK Full 6-Speed Dog Engagement Kit* and reaching what we consider the physical prototype stage.

This is a critical part of the development process. Once we have the physical prototype in our hands, we can validate everything before making the final refinements and tweaks in Siemens NX and Fusion.

From there, we’ll once again be using KISSsoft to optimise the gear geometry for maximum strength and durability.

The kit will feature helical-cut gears, with customers having the option to run either the factory shift forks or our own forged 4140 nitrided shift forks for those looking for the ultimate upgrade.

There’s still work to do, but seeing this project come together after all the design, modelling and development work is a massive milestone for the team.

We can’t wait to put the finishing touches on it and finally launch this one.

The impossible, is possible.

Two Speed Quickchange Differential Rear Attachment.

This new design will allow drivers to select between two different gear ratios at any given time, using a simple lever-actuated mechanism. This has been spoken about by a few drivers we work with in Formula Drift & Drift Masters GP.

Drivers will be able to run one ratio for Lead and another for Chase, allowing them to tailor the car’s gearing depending on the opponent they are facing. Instead of being locked into a single compromise ratio for an entire battle, drivers can select the gearing that best suits the situation.

A ratio that works perfectly for one opponent may not be ideal for another. With two ratios available, drivers can have the flexibility to adjust their wheel speed, acceleration and overall driving characteristics between Lead and Chase.

Tasmanian local Brendan Mansfield has been the perfect candidate to put our SR20 Dog Engagement Kits to the test.
