Let’s try and clear this up for those that don’t read following the little video I posted yesterday.
This car had been taken to bare metal and all work done by another business a few years back. Once the owner had it back it started to show signs of problems under the paint. I was asked at the time to look at repairing the issues that being on inspection I had said that the problem is under the body filler and likely the car wasn’t put into an epoxy. At the time I recommended to the owner to wait awhile and see if anything else appears and we do it all at once rather then a few repairs over time.
I have removed all material from the problem areas to expose the surface to be blasted and anti ox rust converted followed buy prepping the treated panels for epoxy. Body work next and re seal
This car was not done by us we are just tasked with sorting out the problems and repaint now as the repair size is quite large.
I do not know where the job was done or by who

One thing I love. Fixing work that was preventable by the right prep work. This job was done by another business and has come in to be fixed. What you see is surface rust under body filler
I looked at this car for the owner some years back now when he got it back from having a bare metal job done. Left rear quarter panel at the time had already showed signs of rust under the work and the right rear door the same. Both rear quarters right rear door and left front door are now being re done.

Vk ss. Has been down at the blasters while the panels have been stripped and prepped in house. Some metal fatigue cracks and other bits to sort out before epoxy. Next step block down and spot fill for primer inside and out on the panels and get the bars and other pieces into primer.

Put a lot a lot of my own time into this one weekends and after hours. I was asked to give a bit of help to metal flake this drag car body. The body was painted silver at a friends panel shop before coming up to be metal flake over a weekend.
From there it was rubbed back and I masked out a flame job over the metal flake mask from my imagination and coloured out.
Reverse masked the flames and black base coat and cleared out then handed over to go back to the panel shop to be flow coated by the painters there.

Xr falcon.
In to have a couple of mods to the guards to clear the wheels. I have cut and moved the front of the wheel arch keeping the factory looking profile of the arch filled some old after market blinker holes.
Addressed some rust around the car right lower guard right rear door corner left front door corner and some old repairs and holes filled in the boot lid.
