Audi R8 V8 Manual 😮‍💨

We recently had this stunning manual Audi R8 V8 in the workshop for a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection on behalf of a customer in Sydney.

During the inspection we identified a number of items requiring attention, with the most notable being leaking factory shock absorbers—a common issue as these early R8s age.

To ensure the car was ready for its next chapter, we carried out:
• Full pre-purchase inspection
• Complete service
• BC Racing coilover installation

The result is an R8 that’s been thoroughly inspected, serviced, and prepared before making the trip to its new owner in Sydney.

🔥 Project Update – Volkswagen Golf Mk6 R 🔥

Among all the day-to-day workshop work, there’s always a few exciting projects taking shape behind the scenes.

We’ve just completed the heart of this customer’s Volkswagen Golf Mk6 R build. If you’ve been following our stories, you’ve already seen a few teasers, but as this project enters the final stages, we’ll be sharing the full build breakdown and results soon.

The engine is now fitted, fully run in, and ready for the fun part… BOOST. 🚀

🚨 Flex Fuel MK8 Volkswagen Golf R 🚨

As these next-generation platforms continue to evolve, it’s great to see features becoming available that enthusiasts have enjoyed on previous generations for years.

This MK8 Golf R arrived with a Stage 2 calibration and all the supporting hardware already fitted, making it the perfect candidate for a Unitronic UniFLEX upgrade.

The UniFLEX sensor integrates neatly into the engine bay, looking almost factory-installed while delivering a huge improvement in functionality and performance.

✅ Live ethanol content displayed through the factory Power Gauge
✅ Rolling Anti-Lag enabled
✅ Maximising the capability of the factory direct injection system before adding MPI in the future

📊 Performance Results

Factory Output:
• 337 HP
• 310 ft-lb

Stage 2 UniFLEX:
• 496 HP
• 461 ft-lb

That’s an increase of 159 HP and 151 ft-lb of torque while retaining the flexibility to run varying ethanol blends with confidence.

This week we wrapped up another huge project at Precision Auto Haus.

The brief was simple: build a Golf R that could handle serious track work while maintaining the reliability and drivability expected from a street car. Having already completed a number of upgrades on this vehicle, it was time to take things to the next level.

🏁 NEW C CLASS LAP RECORD! 🏁

Ride onboard from Round 3 of the 2026 West Australian Production Car Racing Championship at CollieMotorplex on 16 May, where we set a new C Class lap record with a 1:18.4188 in the #85 VW Golf GTI 40 Year. 💙🔥

A huge thank you to Precision Auto Haus for their continued support and for helping keep the Golf performing at its best. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without them. 👏

The exciting part? We genuinely think there's more time in it. We battled brake issues throughout the weekend, so there's still more speed to unlock. We can't wait to head back and see what the Golf can really do! 💪🏁
