Automotive Mechanic Wanted | Light Vehicle Specialist

We are seeking a qualified, reliable Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop team and handle everything from routine servicing to complex diagnostics.

Job Details
👉Position: Light Vehicle Mechanic

👉Salary: Above award, based on experience

Core Duties
✅Log Book Servicing: Perform scheduled maintenance to manufacturer standards.
✅Safety Checks: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
✅Mechanical Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical issues including but not limited to, engine, brake, suspension, and steering
✅Electrical Fault-Finding: Use modern scan tools to diagnose complex electrical systems.
✅General Repairs: Complete component replacements and mechanical repairs efficiently.

Requirements
✅Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
✅Licence: Current manual Australian driver's licence.
✅Experience: Proven track record in a professional workshop environment.
✅Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
✅Traits: High attention to detail, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

EXPERIENCED LIGHT VEHICLE MECHANIC WANTED
We are looking for a qualified & experienced mechanic that has the knowledge & skills to help with our increasing workload in our family run workshop.
Solid knowledge & experience in service & maintenance with problem solving skills in all makes of vehicles is a must. Experience in fabrication, wiring, exhausts & performance upgrades is advantage. We are a busy workshop who pride ourselves on the quality of work, not quantity we put out.
The ideal candidate would have the following attributes
Certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Automotive
Current Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence
Western Australian Manual Drivers Licence
Excellent communication skills, dealing with both customers, when required & management
Ability to work autonomously
Capacity to problem solve issues & find suitable solutions
Attention to detail & commitment to quality workmanship
A can-do, team orientated attitude
Minimum 5 years experience as LV Mechanic (not including you apprenticeship years)
Advantageous but not essential
Fabrication experience
Performance upgrades
Exhaust work
ARC licence
What we have to offer
Full time employment – Monday to Friday 40hrs per week
