The right tooling can be the difference between a controlled repair and extended downtime.

When a crane pin became seized onboard a fuel vessel, our team prepared the required hydraulic equipment and mobilised to the vessel by helicopter.

The pin was hydraulically pressed out onsite, allowing the repair to be completed before the crane was tested, commissioned and returned to service.

One of the larger rebuilds currently moving through our workshop.

This drill-rig mast has been stripped back for a complete assessment, with our mechanical and fabrication teams working through the repair and rebuild process together.

From identifying wear and repairing individual components through to reassembly and final checks every stage matters when the equipment is heading back into a demanding operating environment.

A great example of the depth of work being completed by our local team every day.

This repair would ordinarily have meant dry docking the vessel or sending it overseas for major works.

Our team mobilised offshore and found the anchor windlass seized onto the shaft, with a lack of lubrication resulting in damage to the bearing.

The complete unit was removed from the vessel, transferred ashore by crew boat and brought into our Karratha workshop. It was stripped, assessed and rebuilt, with replacement material hotshotted from Perth and the new bearing fabricated locally.

Five days later the windlass was back onboard, tested and commissioned.

A strong result made possible by our offshore crew, workshop team, suppliers and the vessel’s crew working together from start to finish.

Keeping vessels operational often comes down to how quickly issues can be identified and resolved.

When an offshore vessel experienced problems with its emergency generator, our team attended to diagnose the fault, identify the cause and carry out repairs onboard.

Following replacement and repair of the fuel pump system, the generator was recommissioned, tested and returned to operation, allowing the vessel to continue its schedule with minimal disruption.

This week saw the team heading offshore to assist with vessel maintenance works, ensuring the client had the technical support required to keep operations moving.
