💥SA title/Easter nationals recap💥

Thursday night, the team headed down to Mildura to compete in the SA 360/LS title on Friday night and the Easter Nationals on Sunday!

SA Title Results⬇️
Heat 1 - Started 3rd, finished 3rd
Heat 2 - Started 8th, finished 7th
A-Main - Started 8th, finished 8th

Easter National Results⬇️
Heat 1 - Started 8th, finished 6th
Heat 2 - Started 3rd, finished 2nd
A-Main - Started 9th, finished 7th

It was an up-and-down weekend, but overall, I'm pretty happy with how it ended. Racing with some of the country's best 360 racers and mixing it up with them gave us more confidence moving forward.

First, I want to say a huge thank you to Leon and Deb for their hospitality over the weekend. Giving us a place to stay and a shed to work out of was greatly appreciated.

Another thank you to Caitlin, Dad, Ash, Zakk, Leon, Jackson, and everyone else who helped us throughout the weekend!

💥Ross Wright Memorial recap💥

Yesterday, the team headed back down to Murray Bridge Speedway for the Ross Wright Memorial!

Heat 1: Started 5th, finished 3rd
Heat 2: Started 2nd, finished 3rd
A-Main: Started 6th, finished DNF (was running in 5th with 3 laps to go when the motor cut out)

All in all, it was a decent night. We found some good car speed, and I'm getting more and more confident with the car. It was an unfortunate end to the night when the motor cut out, and at this stage, we still can’t figure out the problem. It's looking like an electrical issue, but fingers crossed it’s nothing major. Big thank you to Caitlin and Chase for their help throughout the night and to all our partners.

Next race: SA title on the 3rd of April and Easter nationals on the 5th of April, all at Timmis Speedway Mildura (if we get the motor issues sorted 🤞🏽)

Had a blast at the Bridge last night, clocking some good laps and having some fun. Massive thanks to James, Zakk, and Caitlin for all the help! Shoutout to the Rowett family from Sunny Side Turf for taking care of me and the team all weekend, giving us a place to stay and keeping our car fueled up very much appreciated!

Next up: Murray Bridge Speedway this weekend for the Ross Wright Memorial!

💥Simpson Speedway Recap💥

Had a decent run at Simpson Speedway yesterday for Round 6 of the SRA 360/LS series with 35 cars!

Heat 1: Started 2nd, Finished 4th
Heat 2: Started 6th, Finished 3rd
A-Main: Started 12th, Finished 8th

Pretty happy with how the night went. Feeling more comfortable in the car, locked straight into the A-Main, and moved up to 6th before finishing 8th.

💥360/LS 10k shootout recap💥

On the weekend, we made our first appearance in the 10k shootout. The night started off pretty rough; being one of the last groups out in our flight and missing the setup by a long shot saw us qualifying 21st in our group, which meant we missed the invert, so we had to start our heat races from the rear.

Heat 1: Started 11th, finished 10th.
Heat 2: Started 12th, finished 9th.
C-main: Started 12th, finished 7th. (Got ran over halfway through, bending our rear radius rod and Jacobs ladder, which made it a bit of a handful.)

Definitely a night to forget, but all in all, every time we hit the track, we got better with our setup which will help us in the coming weeks when we race at Simpson again,also got more seat time which is always a bonus.
Our next race will be back at Simpson on the 24th of Feb for another series round!
