Today is the day of the crisis meeting at Parliament House.

We are praying that we get the answers that we need. To the industry associations going into bat for us, good luck.

Anthony Albanese Jim Chalmers MP Chris Bowen MP this is a national emergency and needs to be declared as one.

Anthony Albanese we need IMMEDIATE relief.
- Activate emergency financial support payments for affected transport businesses.
- Introduce a six-month moratorium on heavy vehicle equipment loan repayments through lender hardship arrangements.
- Immediately remove the road user charge (RUC) for heavy vehicles.

As well as the changes to the Fair Work Contractual Chain Orders.

Something needs to be done before trucking businesses park their trucks up or worse go under.

We’re starting a new journey here at Skilton Truck Repairs, and this YouTube channel is our way of opening the roller door and letting you in.

Every day we’re in the workshop diagnosing problems, pulling things apart, and putting them back together properly, and we want to show you what really goes on behind the scenes.

Mechanics have a bad wrap in this industry, and honestly, we get it. That’s why our goal with this channel is trust and transparency.

We want you to see exactly what we do, why we do it, and how much effort actually goes into doing a job right.

Along the way, we hope to share what we’ve learned, teach people a few things, entertain you, and maybe even inspire others in the trade.

We’re mostly doing this because we enjoy it. We love what we do, and we care about doing things properly. But there’s also a bigger reason, we want people to feel more confident about where they take their vehicles, and to feel like they actually know their mechanic.

We put time into each video to make it as good as we can, and you’ll see the quality grow as we do.

If any of this resonates with you, we’d love you to come along for the ride and be part of this journey with us!

The Fuso Canter Duonic transmission.

In the last two weeks alone, Josh has replaced two of these Duonic transmissions, both failing as a direct result of poor maintenance.

The Duonic transmission is a sophisticated automated manual transmission, it’s basically a manual transmission, operating without a clutch pedal or gear stick.

Instead, gear shifting is managed by advanced computers and actuators.

Due to the complexity of the Duonic transmission, it is vital that they are serviced regularly and by an experienced technician.

If you are looking to have your Duonic transmission service by a professional, or you are noticing issues and require diagnosis, feel free to reach out to us.
