Let’s talk Manifold cleaning

Something very overlooked these days everyone is quick to “tune” or “flash” in a file and out you go.

We also commonly get in a reply after suggesting a manifold clean will be required before carrying out work.

“I have had a catch can fitted since new , “

“I change my oil every 5000ks”

Catch cans do not stop manifold build up and it does not require much oil at all to start the carbon build up process.

Shorter oil changes does not reduce build up either.

Health checks are an important part of pre tuning requirements and knowing vehicles common faults is always a head start.

What symptoms you will see with manifold restriction? 👇🏻

• Higher fuel consumption

• Loss of / reduced power

• Blowing more smoke

To name a few.

If your diesel is getting up there in kilometres it may be time for a birthday or refresh.

Manifold cleaning / hot washing / chemical cleaning all done here in house.

In an economy that’s crippling small business and diesel prices back on the rise we are so incredibly grateful for all the support the local community gives us and things aren’t slowing down anytime soon!
