Coyote Swapped Ford Ranger Maxx Performance Dyno Tune

We had this Coyote swapped PX2 Ranger in for a Maxx Performance custom dyno tune to refine the package and get it all performing as it should.

Featuring:
- Gen 2 Coyote V8
- 6R80 transmission
- Extractors & custom exhaust system

Once bolted to our Mainline Hub Dyno we got to work developing a tailored engine and transmission calibration.

We made a number of adjustments in the lower RPM range to improve cruising manners and overall road feel. We quickly found the factory Airbox to be very restrictive drawing through a small hole in the guard, we opened this up for more airflow and saw the gains instantly!

The result:
284.2rwkw

A cool conversion that looks, drives and performs like it rolled out of the factory this way all with that unexpected V8 sound!

FG XR6 Turbo Mods & Maxx Performance Multi Map Dyno Tune

This 2009 FG XR6 Turbo Ute rolled into Maxx Performance for a round of upgrades and a custom multi map dyno tune.

The ute arrived already fitted with a turbo side intake and full exhaust system providing a foundation for the next stage of modifications.

We got to work fitting:

-Process West Stage 2 intercooler and piping kit
-Bosch 1000cc injectors
-Upgraded Walbro fuel pump
-Genuine Ford spark plugs
-New fuel filter

With the hardware installed we bolted the ute up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work on a custom Maxx Performance multi map tune ( including ZF calibration )

The multi map setup allows the driver to switch between calibrations using the factory steering wheel controls including:
High boost, Low boost, Valet mode & Ghost cam mode.

After refining the calibration this FG XR6 Turbo finished up with a respectable:

321.6rwkw on 98

A great punchy result for the standard turbo proving the baby turbo can deliver with the right supporting mods and a quality tune.

Maxx Performance 2026 Ford Ranger Superduty Dyno Tune

Our Ford Ranger Super Duty XLT is already hard at work as the latest addition to the Maxx Performance R&D fleet.
We're putting this platform through extensive real world testing including dyno development, towing evaluations, daily driving assessments and long distance driving to see exactly what works and what doesn't.

Every package we release is developed and tested on our own vehicle first allowing us to gather real data, refine our calibrations and ensure the end result delivers the performance, drivability and reliability our customers expect!

So it was straight onto our mainline hub dyno for some baseline and tune only runs!

Tune Only Dyno Results:
Stock Power: 140rwkw
Stock Torque: 539nm

Tune Only Power : 175.9rwkw
Tune Only Torque: 583nm

On Road 0-100kph Times:
Stock 0-100kph : 13.1 seconds
Tune Only 0-100kph : 9.7 seconds

On Road ¼ Mile Times:
Stock ¼ Mile Time : 18.5 @ 119 kph
Tune ¼ Mile Time : 16.5 @ 130 kph

We are seeing up to 100nm more torque through the midrange with a significantly stronger and flatter torque curve. Improved pulling power right through the entire rev range, with no drop off where the factory calibration starts to taper away. For a tune only package, the improvement in drivability, midrange performance and overall
acceleration is substantial

Ford Next Gen Ranger Raptor Maxx Performance E50 upgrade

Our good customer back down from NSW for a Maxx Performance E50 upgrade wanting that next step after a comprehensive bolt on list and previous 98 tune by us.

We started off by fitting an upgraded High Pressure Fuel Pump to keep up with the extra fuel required then our ethanol content gauge holder and gauge.

Bringing the mod list now to the below:
( which works out similar to our 2.7 Performance Package )

- Process West Stage 2 Intercooler
- Process West Intercooler Pipe Kit
- Process West Crossover
- Process West Airbox
- Process West Transmission Cooler
- Dump pipes and exhaust
- Maxx Ethanol Content Gauge & Holder
- Nostrum Upgraded HPFP
- Custom Maxx Performance E50 Dyno Tune via HP Tuners

Then it was the bolted up to our mainline hub dyno and we started to blend the fuel and work on the e50 calibration.

Having previously made 366rwkw on 98 this time on the e50 blend we ended up with:

420rwkw 💪

The ethanol tune providing solid, notable gains across the rev range well and truely giving this Raptor extra punch!

We’ve also set him up with both a 98 tune and an E50 tune on his RTD giving him the flexibility to switch between fuels whenever required!

A quick note on E50: it involves blending your own fuel using 98 & E85. It’s not for everyone, but as you can see, it makes a huge difference in power and response.

2022 RAM 1500 Maxx Performance Custom Dyno Tune

This V8 Ram 1500 came to Maxx Performance looking to get the most out of its existing modifications with a custom Maxx Performance Dyno Tune

The truck arrived already fitted with Manta headers and a full manta exhaust system so it was straight onto our Mainline Hub Dyno to begin the custom Maxx Performance ECU calibration.

With the tune refined and optimised on the dyno the V8 Ram finished up at:

262.6rwkw

More importantly than the peak number the tune delivered noticeable improvements in power, torque, throttle response and efficiency right across the rev range making the Ram a much nicer vehicle to drive!

Maxx Performance R&D VA WRX Dyno Testing

It was time to get our R&D VA WRX back onto the mainline hub dyno to see how it has responded to our latest round of modifications.

A quick recap:
- Stock 169awkw
- K&N Filter & Tune 190awkw
- Process West Intake & Tune 210awkw

We bolted it up to our Mainline Hub Dyno after the next round of modifications to see the results:

First up we fitted:
- Grimspeed 3 port boost solenoid
- 3” korsh_au Down pipe / J pipe

Which smoothed out our boost control and got us a respectable 222awkw on 98 octane.

As the intake air temps were getting up with the stock intercooler next we fitted:
- Process West Front mount intercooler kit giving us super consistent cooler intake air temps and a repeatable result every run back to back.
- process_west TGV deletes were also added to remove the restriction from the intake manifold and gained another 5kw

Progressing forward we then fitted a Korsh stainless catback exhaust to match the front pipe and on 98 it made 237awkw which is about the limit of this combo on 98.

After this we blended ethanol to e15 to a best of 245awkw but coming back to a happy 242.3awkw

As you can see each step has delivered a noticeable improvement proving just how responsive this platform is to the right modifications.
We’re not afraid to try different combinations, test the limits and see what truly works.
This is exactly why we’re investing so much time into this R&D platform.

1999 Subaru WRX STI Revival & Maxx Performance Build

This super clean 1999 2 door STI came into Maxx Performance after spending the last 10 years off the road. Originally built in the late 2000s the owner wanted to bring the car back to life with a modern refresh and extract some more performance from the legendary EJ207.

Before chasing power we started with a complete mechanical going over ensure the car was ready for the next chapter. We complete a Full service with all engine and driveline fluids replaced, New spark plugs, New fuel filter, Silvers Neomax coilovers and new tyres all round as the others had stat for so long.

With the foundations sorted it was time for some modern performance upgrades.

- Haltech Nexus S2 ECU & wideband
- PSR-R71 GTX Hybrid Turbo
- Radium top feed injector conversion & fuel rails
- 1000cc injectors
- Walbro high flow fuel pump
- Pierburg 3 port boost solenoid
- AVO intake pipe
- Process West top mount intercooler

Once everything was installed we bolted the STI up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work on a custom Maxx Performance Haltech tune.

The result:
249.4awkw on 98

The transformation is night and day! The modern Haltech ECU, updated turbo system, and upgraded fuel system have turned this GC8 into a powerful, reliable package with excellent drivability and response.

Exactly what you want from a neat rare STI: all the character of a classic 2 door Subaru with the refinement and performance of modern tuning technology!

Subaru VA WRX Maxx Performance Dyno Tune

This Auto 2017 Subaru WRX arrived at Maxx Performance looking for a custom dyno tune.

The FA20 platform continues to respond well to tuning and it was good to see what we could do with an Auto WRX in essentially standard form the only modification being a rear resonator delete.

Once bolted up to our mainline hub dyno we pre ran the WRX as arrived at 141.3kw at all four hubs. We then got to work refining the custom calibration and after tuning we finished up at:

164.2kw at all 4 hubs

A result of over 20awkw just in tuning alone with improved response and power across the rev range.
