BA XR6 Maxx Performance Custom N/A Dyno Tune

This BA XR6 came into Maxx Performance owner modified and ready for a custom dyno tune to tie everything together and make the most of the N/A Barra combination.

Modifications as Arrived:

- Pacemaker headers & 2.5” exhaust
- Underdrive pulley
- FPV intake / Airbox
- FG intake manifold conversion including FG throttle body

We bolted the Falcon up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work developing a custom calibration to suit the bolt on combination.

The result:

A great result for an N/A manual Falcon with a noticeable transformation in throttle response, drivability and overall power.

Ford Ranger Raptor Upgrades Turbos, Exhaust & Maxx Performance Custom Dyno Tune

This Ranger Raptor was previously
modified by us having our stage 2.3 package this time the customer wanted more and an upgrade to the Garrett Powermax turbos and Manta Equal length dumps and full exhaust.

Mods now include:
- Garrett Powermax Upgraded Turbos
- Manta Equal Length Dump Pipe and Full Exhaust
- Process West Stage 2 Big Intercooler
- Process West Upgraded Crossover and Intercooler Pipes
- Process West Airbox
- Process West Transmission Cooler
- Custom Maxx Performance Dyno Tune
(engine & trans)

Once the turbos and full exhaust were installed we hit the Mainline Hub Dyno to refine our Maxx Performance custom Dyno tune to suit the latest mods

Finishing up with:

394.3rwkw on 98

A massive improvement in power, throttle response and torque over factory and a 50rwkw gain over the existing 2.3 package!
Those upgraded Garrett’s just keep pulling up top!
The equal length trombone in the Manta dump pipes removes that v6 raspiness that some aftermarket dump pipes are known for transforming it to a deeper more refined sound while also increasing performance.

Ford Ranger Raptor Maxx Performance Custom Dyno & Transmission Tune

This 2023 Ford Raptor came into Maxx Performance already equipped with some upgrades and ready for a custom engine and transmission calibration to tie the package together and get the most out of the setup.

Modifications as Arrived:
- Process West Stage 2 intercooler
- S&B intake & crossover pipe
- Downpipes to factory exhaust

We bolted the Raptor up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work developing a custom Maxx Performance engine and transmission tune tailoring the calibration to suit the upgraded hardware.

The result:

The difference on the road is immediately noticeable with more power, throttle response and torque along with improved transmission shifts and behavior transforming the way the raptor feels while still maintaining perfect drivability.

We love this platform and just how well these Raptors respond to bolt on modifications and custom tuning!

Maxx Performance R&D VB WRX FA24 Development Car

After purchasing this late model VB WRX as a development car and general all rounder it was time to put the stock engined FA24 through its paces.

We started with a completely stock baseline on our Mainline AWD Hub Dyno: 177awkw

Then then we got to work!

Modifications:
- Process West Stage 2 FM Intercooler
- Process West Intake Manifold
- Process West Cold Air Intake & Airbox
- Invidia J Pipe
- Invidia UEL Headers
- Korsh Titanium Cat Back Exhaust
- Blouch 5356 XT Turbocharger ( 22psi )
- AEM 340LP Fuel Pump
- COBB Accessport
- Maxx Performance Custom Tune On E35

Once the hardware was fitted we bolted the WRX back onto the Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work developing the custom calibration via COBB Accessport.

98 -280AWKW - 21psi

This absolutely transforms way the car drives and responds, There’s plenty of power on tap while still retaining the street manners and drivability you’d expect from a well sorted combo

E35 Blend - 320AWKW -23psi
We ended up dailing it back a little with a final result of 313awkw on 22.5psi

That’s a huge 136awkw gain over the stock baseline!

Obviously we would not recommend 300+awkw on your stock FA24, We are just finding the limits and testing / developing this platform as we go, Keep an eye on our socials as we put it through its paces across multiple racing disciplines

Subaru VB WRX Maxx Performance Stage 2 Package and Custom Dyno Tune

This 2026 VB WRX arrived at Maxx Performance completely standard with the owner looking to get a little more punch out of the FA24 and transform the car into something even more enjoyable on the road.

First up we established a completely stock baseline on our Mainline AWD Hub Dyno:
177awkw

Then it was time to get to work fitting our VB WRX Stage 2 Performance Package:

- Process West Top Mount Intercooler
- Process West Upgraded Charge Pipe
- process_west Cold Air Intake Air Box
- Custom Maxx Performance Dyno Tune via COBB Accessport

To complement the package we also fitted a Korsh stainless steel 3” catback exhaust.

With all the hardware installed we bolted the WRX back onto our Mainline AWD Hub Dyno and got to work developing the custom Maxx Performance calibration to suit the completed combo

The final result:

241.5awkw

A big improvement over the 177awkw stock baseline with substantial gains throughout the entire rev range.

This package and tune has completely transformed the way the VB feels on the road ( and track! ) with stronger response, more torque and a much more eager power delivery this is a seriously fun package!

G6E Turbo Maxx Performance Multi Map Dyno Tune

This FG G6E Turbo came into Maxx Performance for us to finish off this round of mods including converting to E85 and completing a custom dyno tune to tie the whole combination together.

The owner had already fitted a larger Pulsar 3584 external wastegate turbo, upgraded Stage 2 intercooler, turbo side intake and turbo back exhaust. We got to work finishing off the supporting hardware before hitting the dyno.

Adding to the existing mods we fitted:

- 1000cc injectors
- Walbro 460 fuel pump
- Crow valve springs
- ARP head studs
- Genuine Ford spark plugs
- Fresh fuel filter
- E85 fuel swap

Once everything was ready we bolted the G6E up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work developing the Maxx Performance custom Multi Map dyno tune along with a tailored ZF transmission calibration.

The Multi Map setup gives selectable modes via the factory controls: High Boost, Low Boost, Valet Mode & Ghost Cam Mode

Ending up with solid

A great street combination with plenty of power and response when you need it while retaining the flexibility to tailor the car to different driving situations.

FG XR6 Turbo Maxx Performance Stage 2 Package

This 2010 FG XR50 Turbo came into Maxx Performance for our Stage 2 FG Performance Package with a focus on waking up the Barra while keeping the combination street friendly and providing a solid platform for future upgrades.

The customer had already fitted a high flow cat and turbo side intake so we completed the remaining supporting upgrades from the stage 2 package:

- Bosch 1000cc injectors
- Walbro 460 in tank fuel pump
- Genuine Ford spark plugs
- Fuel filter replacement
- Airbox mod & filter (customer already had turbo side intake fitted)
- High flow cat (customer already fitted)
- Custom Maxx Performance Dyno tune
- Custom Maxx Performance ZF transmission calibration

Once the hardware was sorted we bolted the FG up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work on the custom Maxx Performance engine and ZF transmission calibration.

The result:
287rwkw

A great result from a relatively mild combination waking up the Barra with improved power, response and drivability.

This setup provides a great base for future upgrades giving the owner plenty of room to build on the combination as required.

Y62 Patrol Maxx Performance Dyno Tune

We’ve been tuning and experimenting with Leigh’s Nissan Y62 Patrol for a while now refining the combo and pushing further each time.

This time around Leigh had further refined his already very custom exhaust and we were back on the mainline hub dyno for further tuning and to see the gains!

Running an E30 blend we ended up with
313rwkw

Current Mod List:

- Custom 1/78 4-1 long tube extractors
- Custom twin 3” exhaust all the way to a single 4” at the rear bar
- Custom intake manifold
- 4” intake tube & filter
- Maxx Performance ethanol flex sensor setup
- Maxx Custom Catch Can kit
- Maxx Performance Custom ECUTek Multi Map engine tune ( including; 98, e30 313rwkw, tow tune and no start map )
- Maxx Performance Custom transmission tune

We’ve run this Patrol through the gears and tested multiple strategies to squeeze every last bit out of the combo including extensive transmission tuning where we removed factory stall limits to allow the car to leave much harder and significantly improve the 60ft. Keen to see how it goes next time it’s at the track

It now pulls hard well above the factory redline and sounds absolutely unreal

Subaru WRX Maxx Performance Custom Dyno Tune

This Bugeye WRX came into Maxx Performance already equipped with a substantial list of upgrades including STI running gear and a built EJ setup. The owner was chasing improved drivability and hoping we could squeeze a little more power from the existing combination.

Modifications as Arrived:
- Built EJ257
- Aftermarket cams
- GTX3071 stock location turbo
- 1200cc injectors
- Walbro high flow fuel pump
- Front mount intercooler
- Unequal length headers
- Turbo back exhaust

With a combination like this we’d really recommend moving to a standalone ECU to give us the control required to properly optimise the setup. The owner has plans to make that upgrade down the track but for now he decided to see what how it goes with the factory ECU.

We bolted it up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work refining the factory ecu calibration.

The result:

300awkw

We managed to regain the drivability the owner was chasing while also picking up some extra power from the existing combination.

More power and a better driving car that’s what we like to see!
