We are seeking a full time Spare Parts Interpreter at Banlay Truck and Trailer Repairs / European Truck Parts located in Dandenong South.

We deal in all makes of truck and trailer parts, European, American and Japanese. Supplying both aftermarket and genuine parts and accessories internally for our workshop, to the general public and trade customers.

A candidate with spare parts experience would be highly preferred.

The Role:
• Issuing of parts to external customers and our internal workshop
• Invoicing and closing off orders
• Prepare detailed quotations for parts supply
• Coordinate parts sourcing from internal stock and external suppliers
• Processing of stock orders and locating parts
• Picking up and delivery of parts as required
• Monitor local procurements and stock levels
• Assisting in stock takes
• Identify any parts discrepancies and rectify any issues
• Establish and maintain long standing business relationships

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience in the same and/or similar spare parts role preferred
• Punctual, hardworking and honest
• Sound Computer literacy and experience in data entry
• Strong organisational skills and with the ability to multi-task and prioritise daily tasks
• A practical problem solver who enjoys helping customers
• Able to work autonomously
• Must have a current driver’s licence and reliable transport

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a performance-driven, customer-focused Service Advisor to join the Banlay team to deliver an exceptional customer service experience, as the current female team member doing this is retiring.

We are seeking a Service Advisor with unrivalled customer service skills. You will need a proven customer service background. Banlay Truck and Trailer Repairs is a long established family owned business based in Dandenong South. We are a high-performing heavy vehicle workshop that prides itself on managing high customer retention and satisfaction.

Experience within the automotive industry is preferred, or experience working in a similar role, this role would also suit a qualified mechanic who is looking to expand on their career.

This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, with a rostered Saturday morning.

Excellent organisation and communication skills with attention to detail, you will use your skills and knowledge to accurately assess and communicate with customers to ascertain their needs, communicate with the workshop technicians and our in-house parts department team to manage and meet customer expectations.

The role will be:

Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone, accurately identifying their vehicle service requirements

Schedule service appointments with customers to manage workshop capacity

Prepare and process repair orders, secure approvals, prepare customer quotes and generate invoices for completed work

Liaise with contractors for the workshop and suppliers

Provide clear communication and transparent explanations of estimated service times and completion status to customers

Maintain accurate data within our service management system
