🔧 A SMALL BELT WITH A BIG JOB!

Here's a Volkswagen we recently had in the workshop for a timing belt replacement.

Your timing belt keeps critical engine components working together in perfect time. But like any belt, it wears with age and kilometres.

🚙 Its been a solid week of DPF assessments, but this time it's not just soot!

This Mitsubishi Triton came into our workshop with ongoing DPF regeneration issues.

Our assessment revealed excessive ash accumulation inside the DPF.

Unlike soot, ash cannot be burnt away during a normal regeneration. Over time, it builds up, restricts exhaust flow and can cause ongoing DPF problems.

It's a good reminder that not every DPF fault can be fixed by simply forcing a regeneration.

The right diagnosis makes all the difference.

🚙 Another DPF issue sorted!

This Mazda BT-50 came in with excessive soot build-up and a DPF that wasn't completing regenerations.

Our team identified and repaired the underlying fault, cleaned the DPF and got it back on the road.

Being a company vehicle, downtime costs money. Getting it sorted properly and back to work quickly was the priority.

Must be the week for DPF & AdBlue problems! 🔧

Two Mercedes Vito vans, two different faults.

🚐 Vito #1 – SCR (AdBlue) system faults.
🚐 Vito #2 – DPF assessment.

Both vehicles underwent proper diagnostic testing, with the issues identified and resolved in-house by our team.

A brand new Amarok, with a little extra functionality added.

This one came in to have the central locking on its aftermarket canopy integrated into the vehicle’s existing locking system.

The job was all about making it work like it belonged there from factory.

Weatherproof connectors where required, wiring routed neatly and securely, and everything kept hidden and protected.

The result is simple — lock the Amarok, and the canopy locks with it.

It’s the little details in an accessory installation that make the difference.

A little behind the scenes at Taylor Automotive & 4WD. 👨‍🔧

We shut the toolboxes for a bit and turned the workshop into a classroom for some automotive air conditioning training.

A big thank you to Brett from SuperCool for spending the day with us. An industry expert on all things A/C, and an all-round great bloke and trainer who was more than happy to share his knowledge and experience with the team.

It’s easy to talk about investing in new tools and equipment, but investing time into our team’s knowledge is every bit as important.

And a special shout-out to our crew who gave up a day off to come in and take part. We genuinely appreciate the effort and commitment.

Better understanding leads to better testing, better diagnosis and better repairs.

Bonus discovery: our pristine white workshop walls make a surprisingly good projector screen. 😂
