Matty’s WRX race car in for a tune! 🏁

Standard EJ257 we built a few years back with head studs, VF52 modified in-house, running 98 pump fuel.

Matty handled the rest of the build himself.

Built by us and tuned with help from GIR — 204kW at the wheels on 98. 🔧💨

as most of you would’ve known myself and my apprentice makaira bogle competed at the laser rally of the bay on the 25th of july.
Stage 1 went really well makaira settled into the notes quickly, we drove to the conditions, and everything went to plan.

Then came our first challenge... the transport to Stage 2. Turns out the biggest fault with the car is the nut behind the steering wheel. Apparently the driver has selective hearing when the navigator gives directions! We eventually found our way and completed Stage 2 without a problem. We didn’t pick up a spanner once. Fuel it, drive it, repeat. That’s exactly what you want from a brand-new package.
A massive credit to makaira , who improved every stage and did an awesome job in the left seat. can’t wait to compete at the next rally bring it on 💪 # subaru
