I loved the vintage truck in Lindsay Fox's car museum. Today we're used to seeing LinFox's B-Doubles on the road, but it started much smaller with this easily identifiable beauty!

Q: Why do you think mechanics hate to rush repairs?
A: Because we want to make sure the repair is thorough and lasting.
I know some people think we just like keeping your trucks in the shop and charging you lots of hours to work on them. The reality is that we care about your reputation and ours.
I've seen far too many trucks that have "just been repaired but still have a problem" to think that this problem is rare.
I understand that you weren't planning for a breakdown... But that's another reason to follow a maintenance schedule.
If you look at this wheel bearing, you can see that it has major problems - but we weren't able to diagnose the full extent until we had taken everything apart... That's when we realised that it was lucky that the driver noticed there was a problem. Left alone, this could have become much worse!

Great memories!
This photo was taken at our Christmas Party when we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge - a great team-building exercise as well as a magnificent view.
Today - I'm reflecting on the "Adventure Calls" motif as I think back on all the investments we've make in equipment and serving our clients better over the past year. It's exciting to see safety and reliability becoming more valued in our transport partners.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲....
It was Steve's birthday in August and we celebrated with him.
Actually, I celebrate every day when I think of how his skills are enabling our workshop to operate more efficiently and get jobs out faster without compromising on the quality of our work.
If you had asked me 12 months ago, what I expected the outcome would be if I handed over the day-to-day workshop management to someone else, I couldn't have predicted what I'm seeing today. One of the things we've been able to offer is an urgent-repair service (in-hours) on top of our scheduled maintenance and fleet repairs.
It's a common saying that if you don't change your behaviour, you are not likely to change your results. The flip side of that is that if you DO change your behaviour, the results might surprise you.

Think about it! A fully loaded double-B travelling at 100kph takes about 160 metres to stop (about the length of football field). If your family car is in front of them... the outcome isn't great.

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘀...
Last December, Ella and I went for a "quick ride" on the motorcycle... Which ended up being a lot longer than planned.
We hit some sand and came off the bike. Fortunately neither of us were hurt, but the bike didn't do so well and we weren't prepared. We didn't have water or hats.
Eventually the rescue team was able to get to us and bring us back to safety.
That sense of relief when help shows up is something that we often see on the faces of our clients when our mobile service truck shows up to help them out.
