Couldn’t help my self 😂😂

Chopped the top 1” more so a total of 5” out now and I just love it 👌

Also Removed the original tank filler.

Most definitely starting to take shape.
This will be one pretty cool coupe!
Finished off the wheel wells and got all the exhaust done including lake style headers and stainless steel mandrel system.
Also got the brake and clutch all set up properly and removed the old 6mm push rod 🤷🏻‍♂️much happier now

After not being able to find a usable section to repair the right hand quarter panel we decided to make our own.
My brother Adam set out to make a new swage and upper quarter and I started making the new wheels to replace the beat up old ones that were there.
We also removed the rear Chassie horns and rear 32 fuel tank and now brought it back to its original Model A look with lower sub frame brace and back panel
Really starting to take shape now stay tuned

New rear floor and new old school rear end all set up✅
Some patch panels fixed up and welded correctly ✅
New fire wall and some small mods to make room and cleaned ip the ugly parts ✅

🥇🥇Well what a week end 🥇🥇

Headed up to SA to Dragway at the Bend
the ANDRA regional series Grand final for some testing .
After making some adjustments before going, we PB on our first run
and continued to run quicker each time we made adjustments on the Friday test and tune.

On race day we ran 3 qualifies and then started eliminations taking the win stripe all the way to the very end for the win in Modified🥇

I was absolutely blown away by this as I was not expecting to make it through as we were really only trying to improve the cars ET - and that we did with a new N/A PB of 8.30 over the 1/4 mile and plenty left to go.

Heading off for some more testing in SA at the Bend this weekend.

Hopefully have some more luck this time round after hurting the transmission last time out.

Also, we made some small changes to the car and hoping this will help in a few areas with the data we got from the one half decent run last time.

It amazes me how some of these cars get on the road let alone stay driving without falling apart
lots of modifications and grinding welding to fix this one up. It has come up really nice.
I’ve changed the rear end to a more traditional buggy spring and ladder bar format with billet axles and new 9” true track Centre.
Fabricated new set of lake headers and twin 2.5 inch exhaust system

Bit of an update on my Model A Coupe/rat rod LOL boys 😂
what started off to be a Quick build has turned into something a lot more however we do plan to drive this one a lot
Here is little update of what’s been happening.
We bought this car as a going concern that was involved in a small accident and is now going under a full rebuild
Stay tuned this will be one cool little hot rod

Well, what a week end it’s been
We headed to Portland for the street car challenge and it was such an amazing day
Approximately 75 cars set out for the street cruise at 9 am and was a real great way to start the day before setting up the cars to race mode

We set up and set out for our test hit .
Off the trailer I made my best pass for the day with a 5.40 @ 127mph
With a big pedal due to a small wheel stand and steering to the left

We went back to assess the rear steer and i went back out to repeat and get the car to leave straight, this worked - only this time I knocked the tires off it and I aborted the run

Unfortunately on the 4th run I hurt the trans and we had to end the day

We are very happy with what we had in the car and how it responded going from our old PB of a 1.25 to a new 1.19 to the 60’ and we know we have lots more to put on the table

I will get the trans sorted and make the small changes needed to the rear end and get back asap

I also managed to take out
Fastest naturally aspirated ET and
mile an hour, as well as
Coolest Ride of the day
