Understanding some basics about your vehicle will help you prolong the longevity of your motoring experience. To give you some insight, we will try and help give occasional auto care advice on how to best maintain your vehicle. Though these tips are a standard guide, we strongly recommend you always seek the assistance of trained auto technicians.
Oil Check:
The primary function of engine oil is to lubricate moving metal parts of your engine and help reduce their wear and tear. Additionally, engine oil helps to decrease the high temperatures caused by friction as the parts move against each other.
As you run your vehicle, the oil gradually gets contaminated and over time sludge builds up which may be harmful to your engine. These contaminants hold more and more abrasive particles and start to wear away some of the metal parts of your engine that the oil is meant to protect.
A regular check and replacement of engine oil after the prescribed intervals (normally 5,000km) will greatly benefit the efficient running of your vehicle.
