A torque wrench is a tool that enables the tightening of bolts, nuts or sBcrews to a specific , desired or prescribed tightness or force. This is called torquing. This is important because ;correct torquing will ensure that no parts may loosen and fall. There will be no fluid leaks. No rattlings and ensures preservation of threads on bolts nuts and screws, and especially on parts of the vehicle that are expensive to replace i.e ,cylinder head and crank case. Personally, from experience, I say this is a must have tool for every well meaning auto mechanic today . For the simple reason that every bolt ,screw and nut around a vehicle has a specific torque it has to be tightened to .also consider their difference in size and the different metals they attach to. Most importantly, today's mechanic has to note that the materials used on today's Engines have changed drastically. Our intakes and cooling pipes are now made from plastics. The most vital part of our engine, the crankcase is now widely aluminium, eg ;toyota, vw ,Benz, audi. The torque wrench increases the chances of disassembly and reassembly of your Engine many times over, so much so that the phrase, "engine iyi si mvela spanner, " becomes a shear result of lack of proper tools
