Scrap cutting and handling are essential for efficient steel plant operations, ensuring that scrap is prepared and delivered in a safe, consistent, and furnace-ready condition.

In our plant, oversized and heavy scrap is processed using GEGA cutting torches, which are effective for cutting thick and irregular steel sections. For lighter and more uniform material, hydraulic shears are used to achieve the required size quickly and efficiently. Proper cutting ensures optimal furnace charging, improved melting rates, and reduced energy consumption.

Scrap handling includes the sorting, movement, and storage of material. Scrap is segregated by size and type to maintain steel quality and ensure smooth production flow. Equipment such as cranes and handling tools are used to transport scrap safely within the plant.
