This Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0 came into Apex Jeep and Auto for a semi-restoration — and despite an extremely tight deadline, the transformation was completed successfully. 💪🔥

What started as a tired old TJ is now a bold, beefier machine with a completely refreshed look and presence.

The legendary 4.0 straight-six platform remains one of the most iconic Jeeps ever built, and this project was all about bringing that classic TJ character back to life while giving it a tougher new identity. 🔧

Sometimes the biggest noises come from the smallest problems 😅🔧

This Jeep Wrangler 3.8 came into Apex Jeep and Auto for a general check-up after the customer was told by another workshop that the front differential was damaged due to a terrible rattling noise coming from the front of the vehicle.

After a full inspection, the actual cause was found to be a missing bonnet rubber — creating excessive vibration and rattling noise.

This Jeep Gladiator 3.6 came in with the all-too-common Pentastar lifter failure issue. These engines are well known for developing worn lifters and rocker failures, often leading to ticking noises and camshaft damage if left unattended.

• Intake camshaft replaced
• All rockers replaced
• All lifters replaced
• Full inspection and reassembly completed

The difference? Smooth running, proper fuel management, and that legendary HEMI performance back where it belongs. 💪🇺🇸

We also upgraded the differential oils to better accommodate heavy towing and improve drivetrain protection under load. 💪

⚠️ Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 – Steering Pump Failure ⚠️

We recently repaired a Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 with a failed electronic power steering pump — caused by the wrong power steering fluid being used.

These systems are sensitive and only Mopar Electronic Power Steering Fluid should be used. Incorrect fluid can lead to pump failure, warning lights, and expensive repairs.

If you're unsure what’s in your system, have it checked before damage occurs. Prevention is always cheaper than replacement.
