🔧 MERCEDES-BENZ W204 LCI C250 CGI | M271 ENGINE TIMING CHAIN REPLACEMENT

We recently worked on a Mercedes-Benz W204 LCI C250 CGI equipped with the M271 engine. The vehicle came to us with a long cranking time before starting and an engine warning light illuminated on the dashboard.
After connecting our diagnostic equipment, we retrieved fault code P034062 – Intake Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance.
This fault, together with the vehicle's starting symptoms, required further investigation of the engine's camshaft timing system. Following our assessment, we proceeded with the necessary repairs, including:
✅ Timing chain replacement
✅ Camshaft gears replacement
✅ Camshaft gear bolts replacement
✅ Thermostat housing top cover gasket replacement
✅ Minor service
Timing-related faults should never be ignored, as correct camshaft timing is essential for proper engine operation and reliable starting.
