What a weekend Red Star Raceway ! SuperVee SA joined the Backdrafts for a weekend packed with unexpected hiccups, cars not quite performing as hoped, drivers missing out on track time, and, of course, some absolutely EPIC battles! 🏎️
With the championship fight heating up, there was no shortage of action!

THE CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE OF THE WEEKEND!

André le Roux ( #27), currently sitting 2nd in the championship, went head-to-head with championship leader Kosie van der Merwe ( #36) in a battle that had us on the edge of our seats! Unfortunately, after some trouble on track, André had to retire, leaving Kosie to face another challenger…

Enter Blane de Meillon! 👀

Currently sitting 13th in the championship, Blane ( #19) decided to give Kosie a fight to remember! After Kosie claimed victory in the first two heats, Blane came back swinging and stole the final win of the day by an incredible 0.067 seconds! 😱🏁

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. 0.067 SECONDS! Now THAT is racing! What a spectacular finish!

🏁 OCTOBER. TWO RACES. ONE LAST PUSH. 🔥

After the cancellation of our Zwartkops race, we weren’t about to let the season end quietly. 😤

Our scheduled race on 17 October is staying on the calendar — and we’ve added an additional race on 24 October to make up for the one we missed! 🏎️💨

That means TWO MORE CHANCES. TWO MORE BATTLES. TWO MORE RACE WEEKENDS. 🔥

We’ve had the highs, the lows, the mechanical dramas, the spins, the broken wings and everything in between… but one thing remains:

WE KEEP RACING. 🏁

No matter what gets thrown at us, we’ll keep showing up, putting our foot down and giving it everything we’ve got.
