The ones that ever believed that the load shedding is at an end are easily misguided, all the ANC can do is talk sh*t,all you have to do is look at the leaders

Almost 4 months after the devastating fire at Bikeworx in Strydom Park, we're finally on the move.!!

As you're aware, the fire destroyed almost everything in its path and very little was salvageable:- all those specialised tools, the lathes, hand tools, compressors- you name it - gadgets that we had gathered, bought, built etc over the past 18 years simply went up in a pall of thick black smoke.

On hearing of the disaster, our friends at Linex Yamaha offered a shoulder, and a very broad one at that too.

In short, Bikeworx is busy setting up a small workshop at Linex from which we will service and repair our loyal clients' machines. Logically, it will take a little while before we gain momentum but are hopeful that we'll be up to speed shortly.
While our location has changed, our contact number remains the same, ( 011 792 5795) and if you aren't too sure where Linex Yamaha is situated, it’s a quick wheelie from the Malibongwe Offramp headed toward Linden, less than a kilometre away. It’s that easy!
In closing, we'd like to extend a very warm word of thanks to the management and owners of Linex- without them, Christmas may have proved a bleak affair indeed.

Yours in two (and four) wheels

Following a horrific blaze on 16 September, in which Bikeworx/Suzuki was largely destroyed, allow us to follow up!
1) We have had very productive discussions and negotiations with the various insurance companies/accessors/loss adjusters that have been involved. We are very thankful – and hats off to them, they have conducted themselves in a very professional manner but at the same time, adhering to laws and limits in which they have to operate. We at Bikeworx value and respect this deeply
2) Quite how the insurance plays/pays out is beyond us, and we do not wish to make any assumption at this stage. They will need to do their sums, which we will no doubt be presented to us for consideration and an agreement reached upon, which hopefully will satisfy all parties
3) In closing, some freelance graffiti guys approached Bikeworx to “dolly up” the main wall of our premises to those driving through Strydom Park, a proposal we readily agreed to, given that it was free of charge. Further, given its previous boring/bland appearance, (along with a few black plumes post the fire) we gave the immediate go -ahead.
4) Subsequent to its completion (all done in one day) Bikeworx was amazed at the accolades afforded to them, and similarly, to the artists
5) In short, we had at last 60+ members of Strydom Park Businesses, their friends, our friends, clients, complete strangers as well as personal friends stopping to compliment us.
The numbers quoted are very realistic and its beyond us that so many stopped to voice their approval in these dark times, but one….
As they say they say in the classics, “no names,no pack drill”
Better stiil:- “You can’t polish a turd”
Kind regards
Noddy

Bikeworx is devastated after a fire ripped through the premises destroying everying in its path on Friday. The usual protocols are being followed iro of insurance, assessors, etc etc. Logically and for the foreseeable future, we are unable to trade until this has been addressed and settled by the various parties. Seeing it as a pothole is the best analogy. The office phone has been restored virtually and we can thus be contacted on +27117925795 for any queries you may have .
Kind regards
Noddy, Dave, Two Boy and Lucky.
