GXCC Round 5 | Verena 🏁🔥
What a day out there!
Round 5 at Verena and definitely not the race I had hoped for. Finished P6 after completing just one lap before deciding to call it a day.
The previous race crash got into my head much earlier than I would have liked, and with the heat absolutely brutal and the track tight and twisty, it made for a much slower race pace than expected. The old girl was set up to go full monster mode, but sometimes things just don’t go according to plan.
At the end of the day, I knew it wasn’t worth pushing my luck. Between the heat and not being 100% mentally after the last crash, I made the call to pack it in rather than risk hurting myself. There’s always another race, and I’d rather come back fighting than force it on a day when things aren’t right.
A massive thank you to my pit crew and for the time, effort and support as always. You guys make it all happen, and it’s never taken for granted!
A special thanks to AR Motorworks for the late nights, hard work and dedication in getting old Blue running in full monster mode and making sure everything was ready to go. The hours behind the scenes don’t go unnoticed, and I appreciate every bit of effort that goes into getting us to the start line. 💪🏁
